  Everyone should contribute to society and pay a proportion in tax. If you don't contribute, you don't value things. We now have a whole segment of the population that thinks they can smash and destroy whatever they want with zero consequences. When things come out of your pocket, it changes the equation.

  All taxes should be a simple percentage, then we could abolish the tax regime itself which costs a fortune to run. Also the "hidden" tax of the cost of doing your tax returns.

  Give the government less money and they have less chance of pissing it away on nonsense.

  I aways suspected that "John Redwood" was "John Cedars", they sounded so alike and JR always popped up to defend and obfuscate JCs behavior, so I assumed it was just another pseudonym.

  Discovering it was actually another person was a revelation, but I still never knew where one ended and the other began.

  He's distanced himself from JLE, but not really condemned him or took a stand. He oozes "politician" in that he's keeping his options open, but I doubt JLE will see it that way - anything short of 110% adulation makes you an enemy.

  Most supporters of JLE just haven't discovered the real him yet. They really should try suggesting that maybe he's gone too far or should back off or question something, just to get a glimpse of the real character behind the curtain.

  i was under the impression that it was going to be a short war, that russia’s military would indeed subdue ukraine’s forces quickly but that is not happening.

  seems that russia’s military power is much less than it’s reputed to be.

  Yet another example of his oversized ego and lack of thinking ability.

  Defamation is meaningless without damages - i.e. some demonstrably material impact on your income. This was a key factor in the Depp / Heard trial (for Lloyd's benefit, a "trial" is a real thing that happens in a real court, when there is a real case ...)

  It's hard to claim you suffered damage when you are also claiming that the impact has been minor (and I don't think begging classes as earning anyway).

  Another reason it's good to keep copies of everything he says - they can be used to discredit any later, contradictory, claims he may make in court, making him a thoroughly unreliable witness and his testimony count for nothing.

  Not that there will ever be a case, but even if we were on Lloyds fantasy island, it still all falls apart.

  I don't. I know it sounds harsh but she's had months, almost a year to ponder her husband's continuing antics, personality and his behaviour towards others

  I agree. I was sympathetic at first but as time has gone on it's clear she doesn't want to help herself and she lives off the proceeds, so she's part of the grift.

  From what I can make out, she's been manipulative of others for her own ends just like he has.

  Don't complain when your husband cheats on you for the 20th time (basic estimate based on regularity of hookers over number of years)

  As for the specifics, he has continued to insist --bizarrely-- that it's not his obligation to reveal them, so I have no idea just what he thinks they did and how it constitutes criminal activity.

  Because his fundamental issue is that he can't point to any defamation - everything people have claimed he said are things he said. If he points to anything, he immediately undermines his claim.

  The sole purpose of his "litigation" is to worry and harass people. It was an attempt at bullying that has been successful for him in the past but he mis-calculated and over-reached, so now it's simply comedic.

  No one is scared of Lloyd anymore. No one should be scared of him. Because there is now a united army ready to fight. No more picking people off one-by-one.

  But this puts him in a bind going forward-- if he is going to file a civil case and have it heard, he has to produce something. At some point, he needs to add documentation to his filing so that he actually has something to sue over.

  Which is why nothing will ever be done. He puts more effort into talking about his case on social media and making promises than actually progressing it. Because as soon as he does, it's over.

  And when that happens - everyone can see the Emperor-wannabe has no clothes, and it will be open-season on him.
