It's one of the reasons companies love subscription services - a good percentage of people forget about them. B2B are especially lucrative as someone may signup, leave the company, and they keep paying for it.

"Independent" Scotland joke!
by BoogerMan inhumza yousaf, scotland's first minister, said: "scotland, i'm afraid, is suffering because we are not independent.
try telling that to scotland's tourists and many island communities: the ferry services are dying month by month, and the two new overdue & over-budget ferries justify a serious legal/criminal enquiry.. any bunch of incompetents who can't provide a small country with a ferry service and a legally binding contract to build 2 new boats - having controlled scotland since 2007 - has no credibility in claiming they could run a country!.

If the Scotts don't like the power and control that the UK parliament, based in London, has, wait till they find out just how little the EU parliament cares about their little kingdom.
They'll be earmarked as the dumping ground for the next batch of violent scrounging "refugees".

Moral responsibility.
by nicolaou inno subtlety here, it's going to be obvious where i'm going with this.
please consider the following scenario.. you're seated on a railway platform bench waiting for your train.
a high speed intercity is about to hurtle through without stopping when you see a small child running to the platforms edge!

I suspect this is his medium term plan: to stop making videos altogether but leave old videos up and keep collecting donations from whoever is stupid enough to keep sending him money. That would probably amount to substantial free money each month for years to come.
No one cares about outdated YouTube videos about an obscure religion. Most of his content is ephemeral as it's commentary on latest convention talks etc... Those get outdated very quickly, and views will fall off very fast, so there will never be lots of sustained base-level traffic.
The era of tech companies throwing printed money at creators is coming to an end. The economics of most of it was always fake but perpetuated while money was sloshing about in the system. But now people are tightening their belts, and that includes advertisers.
The majority of his Patreons would have to drop him if he didn't create new any fresh relevant content. Most are too dumb to realize that's pretty much already the case, but even the stalwarts will give up when it's past even pretending.
Other people will arrive that do things better, produce better content, appeal more to the newer audiences because they'll have newer relevant experiences than his outdated knowledge of the WTS.

Rainbow 🌈 Law Makers will turn on Religion NOT the UN
by JohnTron7 init should be starting to become more clear to people what i've stated for years on this site.
the threat against religion that becomes pivotal will come from lgbtq politicians forcing through " hate crime" bills aimed at religions.
in the past i have had a " maybe" statement from only one commenter.

The rainbow brigade have ridden a wave of regular people being tolerant, but they have overreached and pushed things too far and the pendulum will swing back. It's already begun in sports and will continue into washrooms that people can use.
It takes time, because companies need to be sued into oblivion for the crimes their policies 'cause, and once the payouts start the insurance companies will tell them what the reality is.

On the one hand, I'm disappointed not to have won after it seemed I had one hand on the trophy.
But on the other hand - Lloyd loses more Patrons so in a way, we're all winners ... "but in another, more accurate way, only Ozzie is the winner" (to quote the Simpsons ... or is the clock still ticking?)
The chart that Journeyman posted also shows that the rate of decline picked up again after it was starting to level off. So his temporary blip is no long-term solution to his problems - those new members are not sticking around. He had a chance but once again failed to live up to his promises. He has nothing to offer.
I expect there will be another "sky is falling tale of woe" video within the next 2-4 months claiming how this time it really really really is desperate, and the lack of views it gets will be the sealing if his fate into obscurity.

Samson kills 1,000 Philistine military men with a donkey's jawbone...I think not!
by RULES & REGULATIONS inthe watchtower—study edition | september 2023. study article 37. rely on jehovah, as samson did.
4 consider an example of samson’s trust in jehovah and of the support that god supplied.
on one occasion, a philistine military force had come to capture samson at lehi, evidently in judah.

Supreme Court Decision on Free Speech this week
by dropoffyourkeylee inthis week's first amendment case has a slant that may sound familiar to jws.
most are aware that the wt won a number of supreme court decisions in the '40s related to free speech (the first amendment of the us constitution).
in particular, the flag salute case in '39, which they lost, tried to argue that not saluting the flag was a religious issue.

I disagree. Any private citizen should be able to chose who they provide business services for, based on whatever they want.
Public companies and government shouldn't, but any private company should.
Right now it's back the front - government forces private companies to serve everyone (meaning, activists targeting them) but then themselves petition companies to deny services to people they don't like.
