This one went a few years ago didn't it? I think it was about 1995 that 'this generation' was detached from 1914 and now just means any generation. It could be 30 years away, 300 years away or 3,000 years away.
This is why the preaching figures are down - there isn't a sense of urgency anymore.

Official announcement: I have given up trying to understand women!
What the heck are you lot on about? What are you on?
(don't worry, I've already dug a trench and piled up the sandbags...) -

AhHah:
I have no idea what hardware it runs on! I use an ISP that provides NT/IIS hosting which gives me ASP & SQL. The forum code is my own creation (though obviously, the design is based on existing stuff).
I know there are some forum hosting services available but I like being able to decide the features myself and hate having banner ads everywhere.
I've got a lot of things planned for the next version when I get chance - polls/surveys, news, private messaging, subscriptions/newsletters, and all kinds of crazy stuff .
I just need some time to work on it! -

That is helpful - and it explains why it's been working on my development machine. -

Don't worry about the links not working right. You are posting them OK - it's my bit that isn't working right.

I just went with my Dad who's over from Canada to give hime some moral support. I have no real interest there other than to say 'Hi' to some old friends and to annoy my brother in law (just turning up starts the vein in his balding head throbing...)
There are some real possibilities here I think - some kind of web-broadcast of a meeting or assembly would be kind of neat. I do have a laptop, a portable web-cam and a mobile phone...they're just a bit big though. I'll have to wait for a camera for my pocket I think.
Just having internet access during the WatchTower really makes things more interesting - it was definitely the most interesting one I can remember. Great visiting http://www.freeminds.org etc... behind the elders back - literally! -

Yes...the pictures and the links seem mutually exclusive though - I can get one to work but then the other stops.
Doh ! -

To the hit-and-run "lurkman class"
by TR inif you are going to grace the board with your presence, why not try to at least debate?
unless your iq is too low to sustain a conversation, that is.. tom.

Yes, but I think we need to cater for 'newbies' who don't know about such things.
I prefer to block access from anonymizers as those users tend to be disruptive (sweeping generalisation) but guarantee anonyminity (or however it's spelt) within the forum.
