  when you look back the last 20 years , what a transformation!

  back then witnesses were putting out poetry and most were singing the praises of the organization.

  slowly and gradually, negative thoughts were allowed to be expressed about doctrines, elders and congregation life.

  Yeah, whatever it is he's doing well on it. Looks and acts positively spritely.

  Seems like a top bloke - saw him on a travel program where there was a bunch of old actors travelling round Europe and one young guy trying to "herd" them, it was very entertaining.

  That's not true. Anytime there is "positive" discrimination, then by definition there is someone being negatively discriminated against. If it's based on skin color then it's racist and it's unfair to the person who is the victim of it and would have otherwise won on merit and achievement.

  It doesn't matter if it's employment quotas, or different admission-marks for university or some other accreditation, if it's a different system based on race then it's racism.

  That makes anyone supporting it or not working to remove it a racist.

  You don't need to be an expert in a field to spot when someone is bull-shitting you.

  Blind faith in "experts" is both dangerous and stupid.

  If they are right, and have the data to back it up, but can't convince people ... then they are no expert.

  If they rely on having people silenced rather than addressing criticisms ... then they are no expert.

  True expertise stands up to scrutiny and critiques. Always question anything you are not allowed to question.

  Yeah, people who are genuinely interested in discussing things, even defending the WTS beliefs, are welcome. When JWs do post they are usually given courteous and helpful responses.

  What is never welcome are the zealots who just want to spam their bible porn (just nonsense, littered with bible references). They never respond to have any discussion other than to just post more of the same gibberish and of course want to post links to their "prophetic" (pathetic) blogs and sites (they obviously are living in the past and don't know about rel nofollow links that don't give any SEO boost).

  Maybe they are so deluded they actually believe someone might be interested in their clap-trap? Kind of hilarious to imagine.

  I just delete on site. I love knowing that they have gone to great lengths to connect to a VPN, setup email accounts, register, post numerous replies and then I just have to press one button and "pfft", it's like the rapture happened on their crap, or Thanos snapped his fingers, whichever fantasy you like to go with.

  Shakespeare was born before CNN so didn't think to add "and some are handed the greatness label because it suits someone's agenda"

  I haven't seen him do anything great. He's told people that masks do nothing and then that they must be worn, and then doesn't wear his own.

  He didn't prepare the US for the virus and he didn't prevent it spreading. He's just a puppet that parrots whatever message the CDC / WHO want him to.

  I honestly struggle to understand why some people think he's so great.

  so, the actions of cops have come under scrutiny in recent days, what with the trial of derek chauvin and the death of daunte wright.

  i certainly hope justice is served in both those cases.. what is easy for people to forget, is just what police officers have to deal with on a regular basis, during their interactions with citizens.. here's a video breaking down one such interaction.. a car owner was driving his car but the tags weren't legally displayed.

  cops wanted him to pull over but the driver continued driving for a mile and a half with a police car following with sirens and lights.

  most of my friends have gotten the vaccines and are quite confident that it’s just what the doctor ordered.

  i’m not confident with dr. fauci.

  i don’t like the fact that the makers of the vaccines are not held responsible if someone taking the vac develops an illness or even death.

  Just saw a great analogy as to that is going on with the Vaccines:

  The "health experts" are effectively playing the Trolley Problem, but choosing to flick the switch and have the runaway trolley run over and kill thousands all to save one person.

  They need to do a much better job at presenting the facts and the risks.

  Right now they are blowing it big time.

  Whatever happened to "trust the science, follow the data"?
