They only come round here maybe once every 2 - 3 years, but when they do I like to ask them difficult questions that I know they'll struggle to answer (but with a smile, not in a nasty way). -

Narrowly focused, sometimes illiterate
by vienne inthree of my sisters - there are five of us - were baptized as witnesses.
one of them has gone from reading voraciously to only reading her textbooks and watchtower publications.
this does not seem to be unusual among witnesses.

I think the opposite is likely true, JWs probably have better than average literacy skills - any group that promotes reading of anything is going to develop better skills.
It doesn't mean everyone is outstanding, there will always be people starting from a low base with a poor education, but I think they will tend to be better off than non JWs in average.
It's one of the forgotten benefits of being raised a JW, practicing reading a lots.

Systemic Racism: What’s Your View? Is it As Pervasive As Some Suggest?
by minimus inthe president of the united states says we have to do something about this.
many politicians and people agree that we are all affected by the scourge of systemic racism.
what’s your view of this?

Perhaps the baby was used to females or didn’t like men or was racist?
Did it make "OK" symbols with it's hands? That's always the giveaway.

Disassociated for smoking at 15 years old then later after years of shinning befriended again.
by TjHunt inafter my 4 and 6 year old sisters and i (5) were molested and covered up by elders, at 15 i'm disassociated for smoking.
then years later after attending a passover with family members, i'm not suddenly disassociated anymore and attempted befriending begins.
wow.

You're willing to risk being wrong about something so serious just so you can score internet points against a stranger?
Like I said - sad.
One thing to remember: even if someone is making a story up (and I see no reason to suppose this is), there can often be people reading who have similar stories and can relate to them, so you're also talking to them to.
Show a bit of damn compassion FFS.

Vienne, what a sad person you are to pick up on one word and make so much of it, while ignoring the essence of the story.

It's just pure coincidence that Jehovah selects people who are always based in the US ... to operate the mostly US religion.
They just happen to be most righteous people out of all those worldwide.
Unless ... Jehovah is racist?

Skeptic Scholars (university type, not internet personalities) will concede these points as genuine history
Sorry, but what?
You start with an assumption that Jesus ever existed and the story is basically real.
No one concedes those points, no one with half a brain.
There is zero evidence of Jesus, it starts appearing hundreds of years after his death.
Imagine there was zero evidence or mention of Abraham Lincoln except for stories being written now. How much confidence would you have he really existed? Very little is the honest answer. It would be pure fiction.
We know Abe Lincoln did exist because the stories and accounts were contemporary - made when he lived. Not 100+ years later.
The closer you get back to the supposed time of "Christ", the less mention of him there is, until about 100+ years when the inventions began.
Apparently the most amazing man to ever walk the earth ... and no one thought to mention anything about him in their lifetimes.
Almost like he's made up.

Probably best to seek some legal advice in your state to see what your options are.
