It's a numbers game.

His methodology has usually been controversy to raise his profile and expand his audience. Numerous "scandals" such as the fake surveys, pirating Ray Franz book and so on. All were ultimately ways to get free publicity.

I think the "confession" video may have been a miscalculation. Maybe he thought he'd trade some notoriety for publicity and gain more followers, believing the lie that "there is no such thing as bad publicity" and also his own warped morality that someone claiming to be a CSA advocate being a patron of the sex trade was fine and dandy.

He was wrong. Most people have morals and see the huge conflict. Most people find it an abhorrent way to treat your wife.

Now he's trying to scrub it from history but doesn't have any legal basis for doing so, hence the fake threats, and he's trying to rebuild his image with his fake "I'm a caring family-man" posts (which he also used to elicit contributions on Patreon while using it to pay prostitutes).

He's not fooling anyone but those eager to be duped by him. He's become just like the WTS and made himself financially dependent on them.

It has been between 2 and 3 months since the confession video. Has Lloyd hired a prostitute lately? Surely he has by now.

The real question to be asking is "how many" ... back to "it's a numbers game" LOL

Severance TV Show

we watched the season 1 finale of this apple tv series last night.

what an amazingly well-done show!.

it's a surreal world, but based in our own, and you don't have a clue where the plot is really headed but the drama builds all the way through.. there were some major reveals about the characters and it ended on a peach of a cliffhanger, so if there isn't a series 2 already in production i'll be storming apple hq to ask why.. some of it may give you wts vibes, the cult-like world they live in and the "forced" celebrations for various things, but while some of it is a little "sci-fi" it's kind of believable.. in case you don't know the main premise is that it follows people around their work at a company with a very sterile-like environment.

In case you don't know the main premise is that it follows people around their work at a company with a very sterile-like environment. The work they do is weird, the company is odd, everything is strange. The kicker is that they have been implanted with a chip which means when they are at work they have zero knowledge of their outside life or anyone they know and vice versa - when at home they only know they work at that company, not what they do or who they work with.

Eventually the barriers start to erode.

Anyone else watch it? What did you think?

Informative but somber articles about the realities of men who pay for sex and how much more likely they are to be coercive and enjoy having power over women. They are also more likely to commit domestic violence and other crimes.

It's not just about sex. It's that there is something wrong with them.

That makes me think it was HIM using the John Redwood account to downvote comments critical of him. Because the other guy has severed ties with him, so it would be weird for him to then be voting in his favour.

Isn't it crazy though - for all the criticism and accusations the thing he objects to is the suggestion he's using a green screen?!?

Trying to mislead his audience of course by not mentioning the real issues to them. But Lloyd, so you're clear, we're critical of you for treating so many people badly, using and discarding people (including victims of CSA), dividing the exJW community and turning it into a money making scheme to profit from people, many of them victims of abuse.

Also, your poor personal morals - contributing to the sex trade which is directly responsible for the misery of millions of people. The credible accusations that you have committed real sex crimes. Plus treating your wife like crap (but that's her lookout - she may just be with you for the money ... do you get a kick out of controlling women with $$$ ?)

Yeah, it does 2 things - it dilutes the real issues and it makes people look like they are too eager to find things wrong.

Let's not turn into Lloyd where he squints really hard to contrive something wrong with the WTS, but us doing it with him.

There are plenty of legitimate things to criticize him over and to warn people about. Video setup is not one of them. It's counter productive.

Sure if his wife kicked him out it would be mildly news-worthy and hardly surprising but trying to make out this proves that has happened is a real stretch.

I'm not sure about the "green screen" thing, I think it's a mistake to focus on things that are of little real importance. Sure, the videos look a little odd, like he's a cardboard cutout ... but that's just his act! (boom-tish, LOL)

Changes in video quality could be todo with not having some volunteer skivvy to do post-processing work for free and the process changing as a result. Who knows (who cares?)

Are nearly six hundred former Witnesses really that hungry for justification that they support gross behavior and misuse of funds?

You get weird psychology at play. People don't like to admit they have been duped, so when they are, they become even more ardent supporters.

Not like that weird group that thought the end-times were happening in 1914 and disbanded when they didn't. Oh, wait ...

There's a market for people who want to hear bad things said about the WTS. Just like those with TDS would tune and and whoop and holler at late night "comedians" who simply made insulting comments about Trump. Nothing clever. Nothing funny. But lots of people acting like it's the best thing ever broadcast.
