  I think that depends on the rules regarding evidence for civil trials in Croatia. It's likely that they would allow it, since it can help with the determination of liability

  If that were true, then every civil case would be proceeded by a criminal case, regardless of the chance of success.

  Basic logic - if simply submitting a claim counted as "evidence" then everyone would do it as a matter of course. It would destroy their criminal justice system by overloading it.

  Which is why I don't believe it would count as evidence.

  So that when & if he lodges a civil suit, he can document that he registered a criminal complaint as supporting evidence?

  If something is free to do with no barrier to it being initiated, then it can't be used as evidence of anything other than it was initiated. So it should neither strengthens or weakens the other case. Only a verdict would do that.

  So? Iceland has a total population less than most small cities and much lower rates of gun ownership.

  They don't have the same social issues that the US does. So what is the point of comparing them?

  But even so, they still have lots of guns but few to no gun related homicides. Almost like it's not caused by the guns existing ...

  Why not, if you want to do that, compare individual cities in the US and then look at why some are like the worse shit-hole country war zones and others are perfectly nice places to live. Even though all exist in the same gun-owning country.

  Guns - made only to kill.

  You seem to be implying that they're made only to kill people, which they are not.

  Ignoring the purely target shooting aspect, both knives and guns are tools. Dangerous tools that should be treated with respect. Same with vehicles, which kill about the same number of people each year as guns. Are cars made to kill at all? No, and yet they do. Why? Misuse.

  The focus on guns is pointless when they problem obviously isn't the guns themselves. It's who has access to them, what is done about people who have behavioural problems, and what causes those behavioural problems.

  Now, as I've said several times - nothing is going to remove guns from society. So magic-wand solutions are meaningless posturing and nothing more.

  We'd be better focusing on practical solutions that can actually be enacted.

  Looking at the over-prescribing of drugs to children and attaching some liability for that might have a bigger impact than banning guns.

  Having offenders actually handled rather than getting off and escalating their behaviour would be sensible, surely?

  What about the government intervention that encourages fatherless children, a major factor in most mass-shooters lives?

  Most of these shootings turn out to be foreseeable and preventable, but nothing could be done for whatever reason. Let's look at those reasons and remove the blockers.

  In this case, we need to look closely at the police and why they didn't shoot. Is this a consequence of the criminalization of policing?

  That's a healthy sign!

  I think it takes time for the news to reach those supporters who are maybe a little older and / or spend less time online with their finger on the pulse. But whatever the reason, it's clearly not what they signed up to support ... especially if their money is going to be spent litigating against other exJWs.

  All you're really paying for is trips and junkets, because that seems to be his priority even now.

  I love his banner message of "be courageous and think for yourself" ... seems like people are doing just that! LOL

  It's a great cover, claim you buy it for one thing, a place for people to work, but then actually use it as a luxury getaway or accommodation for higher-ups.

  Serious question: who would know? Anyone who does translation could just assume they are not one who gets to work there.

  The only people who could say would be a small handful of people who worked there.

  Has anyone ever seen any selfie or other photo of someone there? Does anyone know anyone stationed there?

  He does the same in other comments a few pages back, where he talks glowingly if people show "unconditional love" for him. He doesn't want any accountability, he wants submissive fools, never consequences.

  For him of course. He must be forgiven all sins. But other people? Even when they haven't done anything, he's all over it like a rash.

  And he probably knows all about rashes ...

  It's the hypocrisy that makes it worse - if he wasn't such a fault-finding judgemental prick people might extend him the same courtesy. But if you set yourself up as the executioner, you better not be caught doing things that warrant your own head on the block. You may find there is a queue of people willing to pick up the axe.
