He stated that he wanted to get past JW stuff 12 years ago. It kind of makes you wonder what was he planning to do for money back then when he got past the JW stuff?

Perhaps that was stated at a time prior to him realising that it was financially lucrative?

Yeah, he clearly put no effort into moving on and building a life away from the WTS. Instead he made the WTS a more intrinsic part of his life and it now completely revolves around them.

As I've said before, he demonstrates little ability to think ahead or plan for the future.

As for his "legacy" ... he's deluding himself. Any commentary on what the WTS said that week becomes quickly outdated and old news. No one is sitting through that in years to come, in the same way that people don't watch recordings of news broadcasts from a decade earlier - what's the point?

His legacy is his scandal, self-destruction, and exposure as an abuser.

He was trying to humiliate her by going into these details about who he was with. This was the same guy who asked her to purchase condoms for him prior to the trip, so it’s all related.

Yeah, to me it just screams - "see how much I care about her, that I'm going to point out how to pronounce the name of the woman I'm cheating with to my wife"

Peak cringe but also deliberately humiliating, because he's an abusive prick.

You did a great job, it's awesome! The drone-voice is spot on - hearing Lloyd reminds me of Marvin the Paranoid Android in the old Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy TV Series.

Just be careful the AI doesn't decide to kill itself, it can't be far off realizing what a fuck-up it's impersonating.

Although religion is a big-money business, it's not a big advertising business for advertisers. They make money by people donating it directly.

Likewise online, you're rarely going to get high-value ads from advertisers seeking out your content to match to their ads, it's simply poorly monetizable and it's doubly so when your content is just anti-religious. Lloyd is likely aware of this which is why he doesn't feel compelled to put work into content, because it doesn't directly make money. Instead, he seeks out people to donate to him directly.

Even more so now than 5-10 years ago as the era of cheap money and Google effectively buying success by throwing money around has ended. YouTube is in severe decline, and is increasingly annoying to use .

Of course he doesn't think forward enough to realize that the income is still indirectly linked to his content - those people are only there, aware of him, and contributing because of the content and when he stops working on that he'd be in a slow decline even if he hadn't set fire to everything.

In the meantime, he doesn't feel any immediate need to work harder to turn things around. But just as the decline process is slow, so too the reversal would also be slow - even if he keeps his nose to the grindstone (and c'mon, he should! LOL) any recovery would be slow. Honestly, I doubt he has the work ethic to do it especially as it would now be without the free work - he's never put the work into his channel that he claims, it's always been the fruit of other people's labor.

A sucker will be a sucker all their life, regardless of how much money they have - someone will relieve them of it.

in case you're unfamiliar with the acronym, an npc is a "non playable character" in a game.

typically, they are kind of a placeholder that do set things rather than being controlled by another player or any kind of ai to vary what they do.

they just follow a script.

Like every time you go into a shop inside the game, the same character appears and says the same thing.

Did you have any NPCs in your hall?

Looking back, there were a few people that were always 'there' but I couldn't tell you anything about them other than their names. Maybe we just rarely interacted for whatever reason, but it's kind of odd just how little I knew of them or even why I knew so little and had so few interactions.

Maybe they look back at me being an NPC to them? Who knows ...

What can he do, all he has done since leaving (thrown out) is "activism" he is unemployable and I can't imagine he will be able to get a good job in Croatia. He cannot sell himself as a content creator as he had people to do that for him. He can clean windows I suppose, but he'll have competition by the JW's in Croatia as it does seem to be a niche market captured by the JW's.

He's had well over a decade and a half to establish himself in his new country. He could have learned to speak the language. He could have got at least some part-time employment to provide himself a reliable income and work history. Lets face it - his activism is not and never has taken a full-time amount of effort. Everyone else who produces exJW content does it in their spare time without making a song and dance about it. Most of the time he wasn't even doing any of the admin or production work and just farmed it all out to volunteers, so what exactly did he do all day, besides play with himself?

Isn't it incredible how every month there is always some excuse for him not producing the content he promised when taking people's money off them?

Apparently Lloyd doesn't know how to manage his finances. When he was raking in big bucks off the backs of his patrons, he should have invested some of that money so that he would have income for the future.

Instead he spent it on prostitutes and trips to Thailand.

Yeah, he's profligate and acts like a child - what he sees he wants and gets. Save for retirement or buy lego and custom joke T-Shirts, drug-taking trips and hookers? The things that make him happy of course.

Zero thought. Zero forward planning. Just like when he speaks.

There are so many people who are getting shunned by JW relatives. By all accounts, the in-laws have been quite lenient towards them per JW rules. They even allowed him to build an apostate studio underneath their living quarters!

Most would be disfellowshipped for this - many aren't allowed to speak to relatives that don't even live with them. So either the WTS cares so little about him that they don't bother to keep track of what he's doing (which I think is most likely) or they like what he was doing and wouldn't want to risk preventing it (a bit far-fetched)
