If you read the thread, you will see that we are assuming the Bible is true. Not taking into account any scientific data.

144,000 ........ I would not consider it a crime that he married his wife ....... if we are going on the basis of the Bible account. There were no other women, hence no other options. As yet, it had not been commanded to abstain from such relationships. As was pointed out, they would have been fairly free of genetic defects, other than the ability now to get sick and die.
Regarding your comments about Eve:

What's the most thought-provoking novel you've ever read?
by lucky ini'd have to say for me that it was ayn rand's the fountainhead.
even though i don't agree with a lot of her philosophy, it definitely made me stumble around in a thought-induced haze for a few weeks after reading it.

Yes, Jim Casy didn't want to have anything to do with religion ....... another similarity between him and the other JC. Read those sites and you will see how much deeper this book is and how it relates to the "oneness" or bigger community of man. The movie is not as good because you just don't get to see the deeper intended meaning that Steinbeck was writing about ......

Little Red Hen: The Grapes of Wrath is such a great book full of deeper meaning and foreshadowing. It's a book about morals and family struggles, its about humanity .......... I think I need to read it again.

Biblical Allusion in The Grapes of Wrath
A popular literary technique that can be found in a number of literary works is the biblical allusion. John Steinbeck perfects this technique in his novel The Grapes of Wrath by introducing a character who is symbolic of Jesus Christ. This character, Jim Casy, not only shares initials with this biblical figure, but he also grows thoughout the novel as a speaker, a mediator, an organizer, and, most remarkably, a martyrSee this link: http://www.pleasanton.k12.ca.us/avhsweb/smithj/AP%20Lang/Assignments/grapesSQ.html
T he turtle suggests the struggle for survival. Indicate from the final paragraph of this chapter two of his actions that are positive and similar to humans. If the turtle is foreshadowing, what can you predict about the plot, the characters?

:) the following is jeff foxworthy's "you might be a jehovah's witness if...".
if "pioneer" is not a stereo, "new light" is not something in the house wares department and "tract" has nothing to do with land or farming.. .

If you can't buy a pair of shoes without thinking about how comfortable they will need to be while walking residential streets in 95 degree heat.
I had a pair of shoes that MELTED from the hot asphalt. The area I lived in didn't have many sidewalks, you had to walk in the street. The shoe was a "wedge" type shoe and the inside of it was some sort of compressed foam or plastic --- covered by rope. Nice shoes. But the rubber on the bottom melted off then the inside of the shoe, I didn't realize it till I was standing at a door and felt kinda lopsided.

If we are just using the bible as the reference and assuming it is true ... well the account does not say that Cain killed Abel BEFORE he got married. It also said there was some sort of mark on him so that others would not kill him in revenge, so where ever he decided to go, most certainly there would have been people or no need for the mark on him.

How about something that would perk the mind??
"Wasn't Cornelius in the military??? How come the military cannot be baptized now??"
"If you cannot be in the military, how did Cornelius become the first Gentile baptized?"
