  Embarrassing Family Questions

  i was wondering what has been the most embarrassing question asked of you by a family member.

  the reason why i'm asking is because i have just had an unforgettable experience with my grandmother.

  my sister, grandmother and i were sitting at the kitchen table at my mom's birthday party.

  Would you condone abortion?

  today i questioned my mother about the fact that she told me ?

  yrs ago how she lost 2 kids through a miscarriage but then later told me she aborted them,well i didnt know what to say, but then later questioned her about this i asked her why she did it, she told me that she was already bringing up me and my sister and financialy impossible to look after two more kids,well i didnt agree with that reason or any reason to kill the unborn she then said she wasnt in the truth then "huh what difference does that make".

  then she gave an illustration of reasons when you should condone abortion and it goes like this, if you were raped and later found out you were pregnant what would you do she seemed to say she would abort it,i said i wouldnt if that happened to my wife i said i would probably end up having it adopted,after all its better than murder.. how has this affected my familys view on abortion i wonder, well i have 5 sisters and 1 more brother,and already my brother in cold blood made his girlfriend abort hers due to the inconvienience,and also my older sister had hers aborted 2 yrs ago because the father didnt want to know with out a hint of regret,so im now starting to see a pattern in my family,whos to blame them or my mother as a role model.. so to cut a long story short do you think killing an unborn child is murder,would you do it under certain scenarios.

  I think its wrong to judge others.......

  I told what my opinion is .... for me.

  The reason I have such strong feelings is because on Oct 31, 1986, I had an abortion.
  On May 16, 2001, I had a beautiful baby girl.

  If you have ever talked to a woman who has had an abortion, she will most likely tell you that she has never forgiven herself for killing her baby. Most can tell you the day and the year she did that.

  Talking to women who are inconveniently pregnant is one thing. Talking to a woman who has aborted her child is another.

  I have to say, women that go ahead and have a child even though they were raped are heroes. That little baby is still a baby. That child is not a rapist. And if she loves and keeps that baby instead of sending it to a loving adoptive family, then more honor to her.

  Women have choices these days as single mothers, that our mothers did not. Before, it was such a huge stigma to have a child out of wedlock. Women made desperate choices and lived to regret them, if they survived the illegal abortions.

  At the end of the second month the cardiac valves and four chambers of the heart are established and functioning. Nervous system development has begun, and so has motor activity.

  In month three, the fetus jerks its body and flexes its tiny legs and arms. Weight is 3/4 ounce (21 grams), about the same as a letter.

  During the fourth month the fetus reaches almost 6 inches (15cm) in length. Arms and hands are fully shaped with fingernails. Feet and legs are fully molded, and hair has already started to appear.

  In the fourth and fifth month the fetus begins reacting to sound, and hair becomes courser and colored.

  In the sixth month the fetus is over 12 inches (30 cm) long. The thumb is actively involved in grasping. The inner ear is structurally capable of functioning.

  I wish more women would consider adoption over abortion.

  i guess i should introduce myself for i am a new poster-boy :-) my name is jason howard and i currently reside in santa cruz, california.

  i spent the first 24 years of my life as a jw, starting in danbury, ct, then to fayetteville & charlotte, nc, and finally brooklyn, bethel, where finally all of my negative inner thoughts and feelings were confirmed.

  (from the ages of 14-24 i always felt something just didn't add up with the organization, but i could never quite put a finger on it) i spent my career at bethel in the brooklyn warehouse/purchasing departments and worked with some really great individuals.
