Whatever we do, we have to make sure that we only drive straight. It has a back up camera but I think straight is better.
I think a trip to the beach for an overnight would be a blast!!!
yep!
i bought a 36' 1996 fleetwood southwind with a slide out!!
i am so excited!!!!

Yep! I cannot believe it. I bought a 36' 1996 Fleetwood Southwind with a slide out!! i AM SO EXCITED!!!! I have been wanting one for a long time and kept thinking there would be a better time. But with cancer, now may be the only time I ever have.
It was so spur of the moment. We had a lady who came in who wanted to sell her motorhome and because of an odometer discrepancy our owner said he would not buy it which meant that we were turning her away. As a favor, the GM was calling a friend of his to come look at it. Before he got there, though, I unknowingly said to the GM that I sure wish I could find a deal like he had. He acted like I was crazy, didn't I realize what had been going on all day? Didn't I know I could buy a 96 with a slide out? The motorhome is in such good shape. It needs tires and a new windshield but I can get all that done thru work before I even take it home.
So, tomorrow, if interest rates aren't too high on used motorhomes, I am going to buy it!!
I am already planning so many little trips!!
i drove by the local catholic church this evening and happened to notice there was a manger scene set up out front of the church.
flanking one side of the child's crib were mary, a few shepherds, and a cow.
flanking the other side of the crib were joseph and the so-called "three wise men" (more accurately known as the magi).. after having seen this display it made me wonder whether or not the local catholics know that the magi did not make their visit while jesus was an infant lying in a manger.
Ya, I bet Mary, Joseph and Jesus didn't have those funny round 'hats' over their heads either!
.
i don't know if it's only our congregation or every congregation was the same, but no door to door was organized on christmas day.
that was the only day of the year that the jw's in our area wouldn't go pest people.. wonder why?
Yep, we went out. No matter what the mags were, I never offered them. At Easter and Xmas, I always offered the Greatest Man book
the kids were sleeping, and one brother came up to me "is there a microphone on thats picking up some loud noise"?..
i said "all mikes are off except for the stage".
he said "there's gotta be something because the noise is annoying!".
I have to say I am glad I was not in that hall.
When my daughter was an infant, she saw fit to take her poop during the evening meeting. She would grunt LOUDLY. You would see heads turn to whereever she was. One time an elder and his wife were holding her!! People would giggle. Whenever my girl made a fuss, there were a few sisters who would offer to help. Never, until I was df'd, was I made to feel that my daughter bothered the hall ....... or the meetings. At bookstudy even, the householder always had a bedroom and rocking chair available so I could nurse the baby.
Not all halls are that way......but the ones that act like DaCheech's hall deserve to be shamed!
.
i might go over to my parents for a few hours, have dinner there, then come back here at my apartment in the evening and have a few beers and chips while i post.. i bought a christmas present for my cat...... new brand of high quality cat food which she tried and she loves..... http://www.royalcanin.ca/products/fn/indoor/mature_en.php.
.
Drinking champagne and I only have 2 more presents to wrap. I took the day off work today due to some test I had to take at the hospital so I got to come home and watch War of the Worlds and Crash. Finally!!
Can't wait til Little Girl gets home and sees all her presents!
my 4 year old is with her dad for christmas eve and i shall get her in the morning.
i have santa's presents all under the tree for her already!!!
i called her dad and told him to stop by my house to pick up 2 of her books: twas the night before christmas and courderoy's christmas.

I called her dad and told him to stop by my house to pick up 2 of her books: Twas the Night Before Christmas and Courderoy's Christmas. I want him to read them to her tonight!! I sure wish I could see her go to bed and be so excited but tomorrow will be coming up faster than I know it.
So, what's under the tree? Lots and lots of gifts!! I got her the Skydancer she has been dying for and her Barbie Princess Magical Talking Kitchen. She will die. I got her stocking all stuffed with candy and put some in mine, too, because she would be sad if Santa forgot me. There is a present from me to her --- a beautiful nightgown, it is so beautiful and has ribbons hanging on it. There are presents from her Nana and Papa, her aunts and cousins, her present from Sassy and lots of presents from some strangers.
One of the manufacturers that I work with, well, the employees heard I had cancer from a mutual customer of ours and they heard I was a single mom of a 4 year old. A special Santa Claus showed up at my work with a car load of presents and a check to help with my medical expenses. I will tell you all just what was wrapped up for us when we open them up tomorrow!!
Hope you all have a very Merry Christmas!
so i'm sitting in the lounge and these two guys i've never seen before appear at the door.one introduces himself and clearly knows who i am.
'witness-speak" means i figure out who he is pretty quick.i have to ask who the silent guy is and then invite them in for coffee and a sit down.
"no" i say,"my wifes not here but she'll be back in about 10 mins.
How nice of them to schedule an appointment to encourage you and sit with you for 3 hours!!!!!!!!!
It seems they have the mentality that they are there for the Higher Purpose and you should stop everything you are doing to listen and comply with their message. Glad you were able to keep your wits about you.
some of you who have bought my book might have noticed the quote by anne frank "i still believe that in spite of everything, people are truly good at heart".
today, i really believe that it is true.. christmas is usually a sad time for me.
i don't know my family.
Good for you Fairchild!! Hope you have lots of fun cooking your roast and eating it up! Don't forget to save the left overs for a nice stew!!!
zach bought a blue's clues book for sierra.
in it, joe and blue head over to all their friend's houses to enjoy the holidays with them.
they start with christmas, then chanuka [hon-uh-ku, you know what i mean], and also kwanzaa.
I made this last year in honor of kwanzaa:
African Green Pepper And Spinach
1 med Onion; chopped 1 med Green pepper; chopped 1 tbs Oil 1 med Tomato; chopped 1 lb Fresh spinach; stems removed 3/4 tsp Salt 1/8 tsp Pepper 1/4 c Peanut butter
Cook and stir onion and green pepper in oil in 3 quart saucepan until onion is tender. Add tomato and spinach. Cover and simmer until spinach is tender, about 5 minutes. Stir in salt, pepper and peanut butter. Heat just until hot.
Yield: 4 servings
It was delicious. Yes, the peanut butter really was great. I was surprised and my guests loved it.
