I was thinking last night..... in the light of the "new light" about the FDS / 144,000 - wouldn't it be pointless to do the memorial???

What Made You Question "The Truth"?
by minimus inin the the early 1970's, i used to enjoy going to assemblies, conventions and hear special talks given by bethel heavies.. in those days, we were believers and we applied ourselves as "ministers" with pride.. once the "end" was obviously not within our "generation", many of us started losing interest.. we started to think more critically.
it took a long time but once you start recognizing the bullsh*t, it's hard to stay in and truly believe at the same time.. .

There's another WT, not in print but in sign language as well. They have it every week. I know this because I have their dvds for WT study. (I haven't been to the meetings in a year)

I have fibromyalgia myself. Things that helps me are: aleve, exercise, less stress, sex, and great humor/positive attitude!
I do work full time but I wear myself out all the time. I often sleep on the bus on the way home and go to bed early after my kids are in bed.
I will have to quit my job later if I find it unmanageable.

Question for the deaf folks here....
by ana_dote inwhen i was an active jw i had a several friends that learned sign language in their respective areas to preach to the deaf population.
i just recently saw a thread on here that mentioned there were several posters here who were deaf or hearing impaired in some way.
that got me to thinking about something that i'm now curious to hear some possible insight on..... i was always told that the deaf have a very tight knit community and that it can be very hard to earn their trust and/or "fit in" sometimes with them.

Yes we were encouraged to cut of all ties to the deaf community that are "worldly" but I think for many of us, we still socialized with them. I don't know about the others but I did that and it did help me restore my sanity when I left the JW, I went back to my worldly friends and they welcomed me open arms.
