do christians really understand what it means to be a satanist?

i think most people are ignorant of what being a satanist is.

this questions for the christians, what do you think it is?

i'm just curious and am not looking for a heated debate, just curious if people even know what it means.

I'm not Christian, I'm pagan.

I find the same problem exists with what Christians think pagans are!

I have read the Satanic bible. I agree with some of the ideas, but Satanism isn't for me, because I believe in deity and in interacting with higher spirits.

How can a human prove he is Satan and recieve Satan's judgment?

how can a human being prove beyond any doubt he is satan?.

would it be possible for this human to recieve satan's judgment and reward for doing so?.

I only have vague memories from an astral journey in this life (from what I recall its like a huge library building, or thats how it can appear), but considering I believe in reincarnation, I assume I've been many times, and so have you!

Re Satan, I quite like the Satanist explanation of Satan as the principle of defying god's control (independence from god). Of course, I'm not Satanist but their principles aren't silly, when you look into it.

Went to the Memorial Last Night

the hall i went to had some guy from bethel who literally sounded like a 12-year-old giving the talk.

all i could think about was v's video about the memorial and how it's nothing but an infomercial for jehovah's witnesses.

i realized why the memorial is "so important" to jehovah's witnesses: it's their biggest recruiting day of the year!

We (Gary and I) always admire the moon each month, throughout its phases. Of course, as a pagan, I see the goddess in the moon in all her splendour.

External, Observable, Verifiable Evidence Of God...

lovely lil started a thread that said it had external evidence of jesus' which i think proved rather useless and ultimately ended in debate about god's existence.

she said she wanted to start another thread about proof that god exists so i figured i would.

so this thread would be for actual proof of god.

Just one little point:

I believe in god but not necessarily an entity with a singular consciousness. So arguments like "he doesn't tell us he exists" don't make sense because "he" doesn't say anything at all.

However, if we are to assume GOD or GODDESS is a spirit, I can say that one reason I believe is because I've experienced interaction with spirit beings. These interactions have sometimes been when I've been alone (and are therefore subjective and unverifyable). Sometimes I've had spirit interaction where the spirit has given me a very specific message and this has later been proven to be the case - and the information was something I could not have known previously. Therefore I conclude that the spirit being did actually communicate with me (or I got the information by some extra sensory means which is currently not proven by science and I accidentally assumed this was from a conscious being).

I have also experienced spirit contact in group settings, where members of the group experienced the same thing at the same time.

I've had messages from spirit beings which I communicated to complete strangers, and the stranger has confirmed that this was correct.

Therefore, for the spirit world to exist and communicate with us, I can logically expand that to include a universal spirit (or energy). I do not see God as the god of the bible.

i'm just sat working on a new version of the forum (to bring it more up-to-date and make it better for non-ie browsers) and notice the date on the first post of the backup database that i'm working against ... 23 march 2000.. i can't believe it's been 8 years !
