Diary of a thinking to return ex-Jw

i thought long and hard about posting this but the mis-information on this site finally persuaded me, i already accept many may not accept what i say on face value and get their appologist pens ready for making sure no pro-witness propaganda slips through the net on this site but here goes....... i've been on this forum for a few months my first post was about how i was thinking of returning to jw's and at my sisters recommendation to look at this site for both sides of the story before taking that step.. i faded from jw's 10/11 years ago now i left my hubby at the time divorced him to going on to have more relationships and kids, i was definately given the impression after asking on this site and with what i read that if i tried to return i might face df or at least a jc but definately a couple of elders questioning me over what i've been upto these last few years - none of these have happened.

i talked with an old jw friend (yes i do have then and she never shunned me quite happily accepted an offer of coffee from me and my asking for a chat) i told her i was interested in going back and was very frank about what i done in the last 10 years but not sure how returning was done now, she quite happily said she go ask for me to find out.. result!

she came back this week and said "all i had to do was goto meetings again" and an offer of a study was there for me if i wanted it to explore the open doubts that i had expressed i now had.. not quite the fire and brimstone welcome this site led me to believe would happen.. i will keep you posted with further updates if i feel the need to put them in future.. .

So going by your words this site is just the blunt instrument and its still upto those that are influenced by what they learn on here to build a new life for themselves and find some sort of religion they can follow.

This is a support forum for ex Jehovahs witnesses. It isn't a new religion.

Everyone makes their OWN CHOICES about what spiritual path they now wish to follow. Everyone BUILDS THEIR OWN NEW LIFE.

Now you clearly need your bottle making up and the milk warming up for you...then you need someone to hold the bottle at your mouth whilst you suck. With that kind of attitude, you are going to fit in very well back at the kingdom hall.

This forum isn't offering a religion. This forum isn't claiming to be the "one true religion" like the JWs are. So it isn't up to this forum to provide you with an alternative.

Any ex JW has the option to fill their spiritual need - with true spirituality rather than the fake spirituality offered by the Watchtower Society.

True spirituality doesn't come from filling in paper slips and attending the hall so you look "spiritual". It doesn't come from feeling superior to everyone else because you are the only ones who are right. It certainly doesn't come from putting your life on hold because you're waiting for God to solve all your problems (at Armageddon).

Many people have tried to help you, Reniaa, but if you won't research for yourself (read the books suggested or be open to learning) then there isn't much we can do to help further.

I strongly suspect that you'll be leaving the JWs in years to come and unfortunately by that time you'll have exposed your kids to the dysfunctionality of the JWs. That is the part that certainly doesn't make me laugh.

Well i've had 10/11 years in the "warm bed" and found it had too many different men in it none of them staying for long, I spent the "cheque" and found all the money and Pleasures i could buy have still left me spiritually empty, and the "New job" in other faiths proved not to be as fullfilling as having a relationship with jehovah, so in that sense I've tried your offer and found it wasn't as good.

Most of us Ex JWs, me included, pride ourselves on not having "too many different men in our bed". We have standards. Do you? Did you? Having lots of men isn't anything to do with the world, its to do with YOU.

As for spiritually empty - well if you'd learned, like many of us, that money can't buy spirituality you wouldn't have tried to buy spirituality. Again this has sweet FA to do with the world and everything to do with you and your choices.

New job in other faiths - well since you haven't actually joined any other faiths (from what you've said) how the heck can you know?

For those who missed it, and to clarify...

I actually can't remember if it was Reniaa or Chikikie who said I was bullying....

They both appeared on this board around March 08. They claimed to be biological sisters. They claimed to live 300 miles away from each other.

Then on this thread http://www.jehovahs-witness.com/7/154486/1.ashx they used the same IP address on one occasion.

Lots of discussion ensued and I pointed out my doubts about them both. The IP thing, even though its happened before on the board, has happened with gaps of YEARS between posts with the same IP stamp. However in the case of Reniaa and Chikikie, they posted using the same IP on the same thread. Add to that the previous claims that they were "sisters" and it looks like an amazing "coincidence" that this could happen. Either that, or were they actually posting from the same computer?

has anybody noticed in many recent watchtowers that christ is now said to have "turned his attention to the earth in 1914.".

unlike the 60's they do not say christ "came" in 1914. the "proclaimers book " p137 says the bible students came to discern that "christ did not return, (even invisibly), in 1914.".

the way is now paved.

Hmmmm...seven pages, quite the accomplishment...I've come to the conclusion she is one of two things....a full time jw, here to yank our chains, or a fringe jw who sporadicly attends meetings and other wt functions, here to yank our chains....play tag with the "apostates" to see what they will say...you've done well Reniaa....

When Reniaa first appeared on this board I said this very thing. I suspected she was already an active JW trying to give the "jw opinion" on here in the hopes that someone might go back due to her influence. Men have treated me badly too. They are responsible for their own actions. I am responsible for my actions...and for letting them into my life.

This obviously doesnt apply in the case of child abuse. I'm talking about adult relationships.

If you keep denying your own responsibility it will keep happening to you.

folks are about as happy as they decide to be.. looking on the bright side of life gives you more of a foothold when things go awry.

nurturing hope builds a foundation for you which enables you to save for tomorrow and build toward the future and hang on when things get tough.. people dig their own graves when they become pessimists.
