  "Surmise" as much as you want.

  I don't see the point of trying to put slurs against those of us who didn't think it was abusive by suggesting we're the same...or whatever it was you were trying to "surmise".

  One thing I'd like to say is that the "quid pro quo" comment was NOT abusive.

  This is a typical example of someone giving their opinion in a direct way and then being critisised for it.

  Its simply too sensitive to call that abuse.

  Sometimes the person who seems abusive isn't being abusive at all....they are simply direct in their way of communication. Its largely about personalities.

  Genuine abusiveness should be stopped though, of course.

  WHEW! What a ride!....Now zyprexa, cold turkey, and therapy....

  so going off all my meds proved one huge things to me....i thought i was just depressed....almost constantly...and not bi-polar....but after going off all meds.......life was good.....real good ....oh so incredibly flucking good....that it hit finally hit me....i really should not be feeling this good...so could i hardly needed any sleep or food!

  everything was 20,000 times better than it should be......even my grilled salmon, garlic mashed potatoes, and steamed broccoli with lime was soooo good i let every bite linger for at least a minute!?!?

  *rolls eyes* my dear hubby rented 3 movies, one of them was "juno".

  i kindly requested that the children were not to see that movie.

  just a moment ago my hubby came down stairs alone and i asked where were the children.

  With all due respect Sirona, what advice would you give a 16 year old girl who is pregnant? A lecture on condoms, or saying "no" is a little late at that point don't you think? What exactly do you find "unrealistic" about giving the baby up for adoption?

  I said that a movie in which a couple just "appears" who happen to be rich and who happen to be wanting to adopt the child - is not realistic. I didn't say adoption itself wasn't realistic.

  I wonder where you got the idea that I'd lecture on condoms after the event?

  So to reiterate, what I find unrealistic is the context in this movie. By chance they meet a rich couple who say "hey we'll look after your baby!". In reality, the girl would have to give birth and watch the baby be whisked away to be adopted out to people she has never met. I was suggesting that this movie would possibly give the idea that if you get pregnant you can just find someone perfect who will care for your child and it will all turn out wonderfully!
