No definitely not lying
NHK news had a report about child abuse and filmed the Tokyo branch with reporters outside with bethel in the background. Lots of Japanese writing and the report was all in Japanese so I couldn’t tell what was said.
The authorities went inside for some reason, if it can be called a raid or what is the correct term I don’t know.
officially it’s about children being beaten and too harsh discipline but it sounds like there is more to it.
I wonder if it’s something to do with Pensilvania
the news report also mentioned the blood issue

JWs and Prepping
by TD inthe jws i know (which admittedly are more liberal than most) are suddenly into prepping to one degree or another.
some have simply assembled "go bags" with basic common sense supplies in case they need to bug out in the event of a natural disaster and others seem to be seriously into it, almost to the degree to which mormons are.

There is so much wrong info on these pages. I guess when you’ve been out for years you have no idea.
The go bags are a very good idea as well as all the planning in case of an unexpected crisis.
Of course first plan is to stay at home, but what if that’s not an option for some reason?
First option is anyone who needs to go to the KH. Beds can be set up and then make plans from there. If that’s not an option every cong has an emergency back up RV location.
Then the elders make plans and see who still has homes available to look after those who have lost theirs.
Going to Chelmsford is fake news but the branch do have emergency plans for all kinds of situations.
They are usually the first in with aid and the last out after rebuilding work.

Japan issues guidelines on abuse of children of religious group followers
by Bartolomeo injapan's welfare ministry has issued a set of guidelines to municipalities on how to deal with cases of abuse involving the offspring of religious group followers, including those of the group widely known as the unification church.. the ministry has already called on schools and child consultation centers not to hesitate to help children because of reasons connected with religion.
in the latest notice, the ministry listed specific examples.. forcing children to take part in religious activities by saying they would otherwise go to hell is considered psychological abuse.
forbidding for religious reasons all forms of leisure, such as reading manga or playing video games, is another example.. forcing children to attend religious activities late at night is considered physical abuse.

How could they possibly ever decide the best way to do this, they can’t exactly hope people wouldn’t notice that fat Tony hasn’t been on the broadcasts for a while.
they had to announce it but in a way that wouldn’t make a big deal at all

What happens if their "go bags" are at home but they're out or at work or something when the balloon goes up?
What happens if they have their prescribed meds but they run out because Jehovah(tm) fails to stop the Great Tribulation(tm) in time?
There is just so much wrong with "go bags".

Punk it’s actually very good advice to have go bags ready and have one in your car as well, have all the things the Borg suggest spare medicine and anything else you may need.
As to your question where to run to the answer is 1st option the Kingdom Hall. Many times beds have been made on the floors of KHs even recently refugees sleeping in the KHs.
If that’s not an option all congregations have one emergency back up RV. Usually a big supermarket car park where everyone can load up on even more supplies and then make a plan what to do next, usually the plan would be to go to any brothers or sisters homes that haven’t been affected by whatever happened.
the elders want to make sure everyone in the cong is taken care of they always quote that scripture “work what is good towards all but especially to those related to you in the faith”
