the article addressed luke 20:34-36 and now they finally admit jesus could have been referring to the heavenly resurrection.

they said "put simply, the answer is that we cannot say" which is surprising because they have something to say about everything.

perhaps all the old people who are waiting the new world as widow and widowers want to know if they have a chance to be reunited with their dead loved one.

Shirley i feel the attorney is being honest. The "Rank and file" really don't mean anything to the gb. Try and make a claim if you are hurt in service Or get a response if you are wronged by a co. They are nothing more than unpaid volenteers. Where they lie is to the members themselves Having them think they are part of some worldwide brotherhood and part of gods loving organization. It's like me thinking I am part of Pepsi because I drink their soda. They are just a way to further themselves off the backs of the brothers/ consumers.

It still does not answer what spouse they are suppose to be reunited with. What if your true love died after 30 years of marriage and with slim picking in JW land you marry someone you really don't like and they die a year later. How does that work? How about Salomon's hundreds of wife's? Or is the article saying its free game time with you being able to get a new hotty if your dead spouse was a dud. Talk about akward lol

Anonymous Donation - Not!

my mother in law (in her 80's) just told me that she had the elders around to pick up her 'donation' pledge.

it was 'suggested that $20 a month was the average amount pledged but she could pledge more or less.

so, rather than an anonymous amount they have a signed document stating the amount of her pledge.

Actually considering a large percentage of jws are children. I would divide 8,000,000 by three. i would guess they are more likely pulling in 624,000,000 in funds from this arrangement. Question is this in addition to everything else Like your own Kingdom Hall fund and paying for the magazines books etc.

Do Governing Body members only give talks in TOP resort/travel destinations?

i hear of governing body members giving talks in europe, san diego, etc.

how about they instead focus on places like detroit, that they are promoting so much?

anybody else notice they never seem to appear at the places that are not top travel destinations?.

Very true I have heard Hawaii and other location always have gb giving talks. Also Fiji and australia. Go figure

i want to know if the relaxing of rules on blood fractions bears any relation to the medical needs of gb members as they became more vulnerable to fatal conditions.

vaccines stopped being banned just before n h knorr went on his world tour and didn't want to come back from 3rd world in a coffin.. witchtowers of the time said members would have to take the consequences of standing by the old teaching on vaccines personally, wt hung them out to dry.. i dont have access to names or death certificates of gb members dying, but who can find this info, and how it might relate to conditions needing blood in some form?.

i reckon when the blood teaching bites the dust finally, the witnesses will be left out in the cold too: " follow your own conscience , it's your problem now, not ours...".

I posted on Anderson thread the same thing in regards to an oath the Gb had to make to there country to get a passport. Of course this was NO PROBLEM. All the while little 5 year olds had to suffer in class by not saying the pledge.

Hamsterbait I have thought the same thing. I like on jwfacts how an OATH to the constitution was no problem for jws cause the GB had to take one to get a passport. Pledge of allegiance to the flag for 5 year olds No way suffer you little brat. GB needs to travel the world an oath to my country no problem.

This is great news. It actually helps us in a number of ways. It takes away the messiah complex for the blood issue( with some surgeries) and also will save lives. The blood doctrine as I and many believe wasn't about the bible but a way to seperate JW's from the rest of society and the "we are the truth becuase only we dont accept blood". The rally cry of "we will die for our belief's" can hopefully fade more and more with new technolgy. I just hope they dont try to come up with some new light of nonesense in order to feel persecuted. I don't think this is as easy to accomplish with the brain trust currently in charge at HQ and the internet.
