message from designer stubble to the former jwr members.
first of all i am glad to see that many of you have found your way to this great forum, facilitated by simon.
i am sure that after the dust of the jwr shutdown has settled, you will find this to be a good new home.. i would like to apologize for the sudden closure of jwr.
Yeah...let the dust settle and run away like Rifter...avoid consequences...
I appreciated the site, doing a great job running it for 8 years as Rifter did doesn't mean much when he pulls the plug without telling anyone...
Our support of Rifter is no sentimental...he did a great job for 8 years...he did a real bad thing in pulling the plug without notice...those are the facts.
We are allowed to voice our disapproval at the pulling of the plug...just like we commended Rifter for running it for 8 years.
We commend you for being an admin...we again voice our disapproval though at the way it was shut down...you admin/mods had the chance to say to Rifter it was not a good idea...
Loyalty? Again there is nothing sentimental in this...I would be loyal to Rifter if I was an admin but I wouldn't be loyal and wouldn't keep quiet about the decision to pull the plug based on "loyalty"...
Quite frankly I find that utterly unfathomable.
hey simon, .
the recent closure of jwr made me realize that this site may not be eternal as well.
a great deal of people attach a lot of importance to xjw communities and yours is the best.
Good to know that even if Simon packs up the ton of threads I've bookmarked will still be available...
I think we need to contact the owner of JWR and get the files so wifibandit can at least host a static copy of JWR...
i just tried to go to the site and there is a goodbye message.
i was a member there since 2010. i was really surprised.
i had just started posting there again after being away for a while.
JWR disfellowshipped its members...

I've moved on...I don't need this place or JWR to live a happy life...
But I did bookmark a ton of threads on JWR that were excellent source material for various topics in defence of my fade if I ever need to do so...
I've lost that...if I had been given a chance to copy and paste some of it off fair enough.
But we were not...

I much prefered JWR to any other exJW site...therefore I'm gutted that all the good threads I bookmarked are now lost...the whole point of a forum is to discuss things and refer to them when needed...I've lost a lot of good material.
To close the site with no option to at least copy/paste some of my bookmarked threads is very poor and reflects badly on whoever it was ran the site.
Not impressed.
Can't the owner hand over the reins to any who are willing to keep the site going or at least fund a static copy of it until we get what we want off it?
hey y'all.
i just wanted to officially make my debut on https://www.jehovahs-witness.com and introduce myself.
i'm an old jwrer, and it looks like i'll be dropping in on here now for cult updates and friendly conversation.. a little about myself:.
Welcome...I remember you from JWR....pic of you with a guitar?

The thing is...I saved threads as bookmarks from this site and JWR as a catalog of great posts about topics...
It is a pity it had to be closed down...
i was surfing jw recovery .com, all of the sudden a screen came up that says .
jehovah's witness recovery.
after much consideration, we have decided to move on to other things, and bring this site to a close.
JWR had less people on it and far fewer nutjobs...I really liked it...people like Fuque and DesignerStubble were decent posters...
Don Cameron, who wrote Captives to a Concept also used to post on there.
I'll miss JWR...but here has calmed down a lot over the last year with nutjobs...

So creationists post evidence-free nonsense about Noah and genetics.
A number of people offer facts to show that it is incorrect.
You demand everybody has a right to their own opinion about what is true and we should all be nice and keep it "logical".
I insist that subjective opinions are irrelevant in establishing truth.
You respond with "fuck-yourself".
Is this your idea of a logical discussion?
This is exactly the issue...creationists cannot defend their point of view with facts and evidence...I've yet to see one in any responses to Cofty's posts...
I accept and so should they that creationism has nothing to do with facts or evidence but is a mere belief.
