  all of us must be ready to obey any instructions we may receive, whether these appear sound from a strategic or human standpoint or not.. i think i know what the instructions will be.it's nothing new.

  I concur with Smiddy...defectors are common from NK, not so brain-washed then are they?

  Most in NK know the score, they don't believe KJU is god and an uprising would occur if KJU started something for real.

  It's all a showmanship of power at the moment...nothing more.

  RUMOUR - Regarding future memorials

  i heard this on the youtube channel - bad jw round table discussions and i normally don't give much thought to rumours, i did find this one interesting.one of the guys on the channel said that there are plans that 'the other sheep' will be told not to attend any future memorials.he was asked how credible was this and he said that it is talk going around by those in the know, just like there had been those that knew about the fairly recent new edition of the bible being in production.even if this is probably just a rumour, the idea has a lot of merit.

  the benefits for the organization outweigh the negatives and would fit in with their current direction.here are some of the benefits, for the org.

  that could come from it- the biggest benefit would come from not having to accommodate so many attendants, which are more than double a normal meeting.

  Whilst this rumour is considered just that, a wild rumour the fact still remains that at some point the large number of anointed people recorded needs addressing...years from now if there is still a large number of anointed then dubs will start to question...much like 1914.

  At some point, 1914 and the anointed numbers will need new light...

  1919 a Date with Zero Prophetic Meaning

  i've noticed that lately the wt has been using the date 1919 more often.

  in an almost matter of fact way, they will state that this is the year jesus finished refining his people and appointed the fds.

  the only problem is there is little proof or even prophetic antitypes given for why this must have been the year.

  And when Jesus selected these guys as the FDS in 1919 just what criteria did he use?

  Because they most certainly back them were not teaching anything like "the truth" as it is today...and it was not their "attitude" because the Proclaimers book says so and there were many sincere groups back then trying to understand the bible.

  So why did he choose them? Why would Jesus continue to use them now since they every doctrine and every policy may be wrong because they are not inspired and are not infalliable?

  The only times I read in the bible of Jehoover's people teaching wrong doing is when they strayed from the teachings and every time God punished them, heck the big man in the sky punished even some of his most ardent followers when they strayed...Moses, David etc...

  Are the GB expecting massive retribution then for the constant teachings in Jehoover's name that they keep getting wrong and have to adjust?

  Governing Body-Part of Great Crowd

  it appears that the governing body members today are part of the great crowd and are not of the anointed.. to those with some knowledge of the subject, is it possible that the christian congregation would eventually be lead by those who are not anointed?

  To take issue with the o.p. and support St George of England, Br Splane stated ,in his video explanation of the 'generation ' ,that all members of th GB are anointed & of the second part of "this generation ".

  BUT...all current members of the GB were helpers to previous GB members and there is a WT, after 1992, that states all helpers were of the great crowd thus NOT ONE of the current GB was anointed in 1992 which was the magic year they used in their broadcast to define that "second generation" that overlapped with the lives of the "first" (F.Franz death).

  
  

  The current GB members are all part of the "third generation" that neither saw 1914 nor were anointed at the time of living with an anointed person who did see 1914.

  
  

  The whole overlapping thing collaspes due to many points but this point is fundamental.

  I'm actually going to the KH to see paragraph 12 discussed...first time back in 5 years after fading...I'm looking forward to the questions as to why I popped back for this meeting.

  My answer will be well it is nice to see the GB admit that Jehoover has nothing to do with WT doctrines or policies because that is why I left!

  Are there 'ultra strict' congregations?

  when i studied as a young adult, it was in one of those congregations.

  having viewed the religion as a quaint little band of christians it conpletely dumbfounded me when i was told about such rules as 1 - no beards.

  2 - you must wear a suit to meetings and while giving a talk.

  It's tit for tat...as I was pushing to become a MS I got counselled for not wearing a "suit" on the TMS by the PO...years later when I was an elder his son, who was pushing to become a MS, gave a talk with no jacket...you can guess what I brought up when we discussed him at an elder meeting.

  PO was raging...one rule for other people and one rule for friends and family.

  Seen it way too many times...JW's have the massive issue in that the leaders cherry pick when they choose what to press as law when opinion.

  Sick of it. So glad I got out.
