They sold up for $2 billion yet spend hundreds of millions each year on the CO's, Special Pioneers etc thus that $2 billion will not last long.

Collapse of JW Org - Possibly on the Horizon?
by JWTom inthis topics get a great deal of discussion here.
what i find interesting is even some of my pimi family is embracing the reality that all is not well with jw.org and that many current jws are just going through the motions due to not having a good way out of the org.
wondering what could realistically lead to the collapse of jw.org in the not distant future?

Worldwide preaching campaign targeting government officials.
by smiddy3 indoes anybody know what this message will contain ?
is it designed to provoke a response that will bring persecution on the religion ?
or is it just going to be some meaningless weak campaign to get the rank and file all excited about it and achieving nothing.. or is it going to suggest to the government officials that this mob could very well be the next jonestown /wacol incident and we need to act now.

I'd say its more of an exercise to bolster the dubs, they will think they are really making a point and that the end is near.
99.9999% of government officials will disregards any message but the millions of dubs will cream themselves over hitting Satan's system hard with a message.

I noted too how Gillies "skirted" around many questions with his answers not answering the actual questions.
It sadly does not have the same impact as Angus did in the Australian questioning.

It was a good watch....Gilles admitted no training to elders formally on child abuse which is a requirement for a charity...interesting times.

The society taught this nonsense (7000 day creation) at the same time teaching organ transplants were a disfellowshipping offence due to a) your body "ate" the organ transplanted to make a new one thus cannibalism and b) you absorbed the personality of the donor.
In other words, batshit crazy stuff.

You seem to assume that the £10 billion deficit figure is not politically motivated and misleading
It's not..it has been confirmed by many financial experts and non Scots.

Yes and yes...the 2520 starting from 607 is wrong as they have the wrong start date and they calculate 2520 years using 360 days yet add years as they are 365.25.
Sorry, haven't watched your vid yet.

Because of maths mate...we are spending more than we can raise taxes whilst be subsidised from the UK...you are looking at a £10 billion black hole which means less spend on public services and tax rises.
Not all who voted in no in 2014 are ant-indy, we simply look at the economics, look at all the facts, look at experts who have commented on the economics from all round the world and being indy means a lot of economic hardships and the loss of such services as free eyecasre, free tuition fees, free prescriptions.
Add in the SNP's horrendous track record of what they have done with devolved powers since 2007 and realize if we voted indy we are a one party state then trusting a government who has failed miserably with even more power is just not common sense.
Then look at the mass amount of infrastructure required to be indy and where is that money coming from when we are billions of income down already?
It's the economy mate, we cannot sustain our current level of spending, something will have to give and it will be worse off for the next generation.
Thus, as far as economy goes better together.
SNP, the Scottish government cannot answer where that £10 billion gap is going to get plugged. THe SNP's Growth Commission report admitted the deficit but then said it "would grow the economy to cope"...when asked how they would do that the answer is "do not know".
It's the unionists who are simply responding to the utter crap the nats are saying, most of the 54% want indy without a care in the world how it affects our economy or public services.
The nats cannot tell us who we are going to fund our economy whilst indy, all they do is deflect away from figures like the GERS attacking the source...when ironically the SNP were using GERS in 2011 to get their indy1ref vote through when oil was $120 a barrel and the figures looked good.
I'm not against indy, I'm against crippling the future generation and handing Scotland to an utterly nationalistic, divisive and woeful party.

Support for independence keeps getting higher.
And as the economics of Scotland post COVID become public that will dwindle and we will back to the divisive nature of our country and our government.
Pre-COVID an indy Scotland was not economically viable without measures like austerity and tax rises...now post-COVID indy is simply not an option no matter that Sturgeon has performed better than Boris, which is the only reason indy support has gone up.
