  the commission is slow, needlessly protracted and inconsiderate of the extent to which ongoing damage is being carried out.. scrap it.

  Sisters as Ministerial Servants?

  my wife has been trying to convince me that the organization is hinting at the possibility of making some older sisters ministerial servants.

  she is awake to a lot of the false doctrines, but is still clinging to the hope that the org may become more progressive in the future.

  anyone else pick up on this?

  i find it interesting on the case file analysis some of the findings.

  it looks like queensland and new south wales had the biggest problems with this.

  Yes, Notsurewheretogo. Just because you don't agree that watchtower is responsible for the actions of a third party they are defending them. Me, a number of lawyers and about a dozen District and Circuit Court judges all fall under that category of recognizing that one cannot control what another person does. That makes all of those judges apologists as well. Even the Conti appeals court ruled that, the actions that Kendrick did to Candace in his own time was not the fault of Watchtower, the only negligence was the assigning of Kendrick to work with Candance in an official activity of the congregation.

  
  

  I've sat, as an elder, with a child in the congregation who was abused, I have seen first hand what it does to them...I have seen the unrepentant abuser get DF, then come back a year later with nothing mentioned to the police to "protect God's organisation".

  
  

  The WT policies 100% fostered the environment where this abuse occurred and it is happening all over the world in congregations. It could be minimized hugely if the WT had proper policies on it.

  Not a sympathizer

  i think everyone here is under the impression that i am a watchtower sympathizer, i am not.

  i just like facts and when people say things, which are their opinions but that facts point out as not being true, than that is when i get so motivated to make a comment.

  i have read posts here, listened to six screens and read jwsurvey and seen things that people say, which are opinion, but pass them off as fact.. there are legitimate things that people on here and former jws have concerns over without manipulating what is said or trying to pass off opinion as a fact.

  Richard created a thread asking why everyone hates the WT because of them not reporting child abuse in certain situations and tries to back it up with facts.

  When pointed out that the WT policies creates an environment where child abusers can carry out their desires and get away with it and the abject failure of the WT to help victims, protect children and deal properly with the offender and he is not a WT sympathizer?

  Sorry but that is utter bull.

  All countries have a deficit...ours is huge though...worse than Greece's...it requires massive reform to be independent...it wont happen under the SNP because they have no clue...thus the logical conclusion is to stand united as part of the UK.

  Points 1 and 2 are easily answered...if it wasn't for the rest of the UK we would be in a worse position a long time ago...it is because of the rest of the UK that we are still standing. We will improve as the UK as a whole improves.

  You don't seem to answer the point as to how we go independent purely from a financial view given our deficit?

  Because if someone ever does with credible facts you will find many who voted no would vote yes, myself included. But there are simply a lack of facts...your points are all ifs and buts...how can we improve as part of the UK etc...all fluffy questions that do not tackle the actual issue that people like myself want answered.

  And the answer is not there, SNP want me to "gamble"...it aint happening...I'll vote NO to SNP for as long as it takes to protect my beloved Scotland until the point where the SNP, or any other party, outlines a credible manifesto as to how it would all work.

  PS. I think we have hijacked this thread! Lol
