I'm attending a RC in a few days minus a badge...will post my experience. I'm a former pioneer, elder, bethelite, MTS graduate out 10+ years but still known in the community as I faded and was not DF/DA.

Is WT Using ATTENDANTS At The Conventions To Be: "TOY COPS"
by HiddlesWife ini have heard from a few ppimis and several pimos that the attendants who are stationedly-assigned to the front entrances of the borgvenues (cahs and other arenas) have been checking to see if any persons (members and non-member visitors) have badges.
on the other hand, if these persons don't have one, this is what i was told that these dubs do this: corral around the non-badge-wearing individual and interrogate he/she/them plus questioning them, "why are you here?!".
also, even if that person or persons have an invitation plus showed it to these dubs, these toy cops still do that procedure.

"Independent" Scotland joke!
by BoogerMan inhumza yousaf, scotland's first minister, said: "scotland, i'm afraid, is suffering because we are not independent.
try telling that to scotland's tourists and many island communities: the ferry services are dying month by month, and the two new overdue & over-budget ferries justify a serious legal/criminal enquiry.. any bunch of incompetents who can't provide a small country with a ferry service and a legally binding contract to build 2 new boats - having controlled scotland since 2007 - has no credibility in claiming they could run a country!.

"Nevertheless support for independence in Scotland remains as strong as ever."
Simply not true. It has weakened and has never been a consistent majority. It's game over for independence for now what with other issues like cost of living, inflation, interest rates.
@ sbf - how can you totally ignore/dismiss the economic disaster which a 'Yes' vote would bring down on Scotland's population as previously stated?
"During 2021-22 tax revenue generated in Scotland amounted to about £73.8 billion, including North Sea oil revenue. During the same period, Scotland benefited from about £97.5 billion in public spending, a difference of £23.7 billion."
How many financial lemmings live in Scotland?I've asked this question on here, on every forum and to every supporter of Indy and I've never ever had an answer that tackles the question. All they say is investment and more "levers" with zero detail.
The SNP's Growth Commission report highlights a reduction in public spending is realistically the only way.
So less money on schools, NHS, police etc and they will take away free uni tuition fees, free prescriptions, free eye care all against a plan that has never ever contained economic details as to how you cope with losing billions in subsidies from rUK.
It's just reckless to vote for Indy with zero economic details.

You know what, Lloydy boy served his purpose but he is finished....I enjoy the content more now from Ben Foard and Harrison Cother with a bit of AltWorldy thrown in...Kim and Mikey are ok but land on too extreme and put off still-in's to some degree but they are passionate and have gone through a lot.
I met a new ex-JW who is out just a few months ago and asked him what was his main vehicle to get out and wake up and he said Reddit and research...not a YouTuber...I asked him do you know Cedars....nope was the answer.
"I can't control my penis" Cedars is irrelevant now and is being replaced with some wonderful content creators.

City! City! City!
by Simon inwon the premiership.. won the fa cup.. won the champions league.. that's the treble baby.
so amazing after we spent 44 years without anything.
no more "noisy neighbours".. now let's do it again, back-to-back, and achieve new heights - more consecutive premierships than anyone has every done before would be enough..

Rarely seen a team with such momentum and self-belief.
Easy when you can buy that in players. -

Top AI inventor Geoffrey Hinton reluctantly concluded that AI will probably humanity fairly soon
by slimboyfat ingeoffrey hinton, major inventor of artificial intelligence: .
“if you take the existential risk seriously, as i now do—i used to think it was way off, but now i think it’s serious, and fairly close—it might be quite sensible to just stop developing these things any further, but i think it’s completely naïve to think that would happen.
there’s no way to make that happen.

Appreciate his major is not AI but his points are pretty valid.
As Cofty said...unplug things seems to be the easy answer.

Scholar and Fisherman
by Jorden inscholar and fisherman, i started this thread because i didn't want to highjack the one in regard to 588/568.. i just wanted to ask if you were both current active jw's that believe the jw's beliefs?.
do y'all believe the gb are the f&ds?
if the answers are no, then why do y'all defend so passionately the date 607?

Fisherman & Scholar.
Back in 2013, May 15th WT the society said:
Then in February 2017 they also said this:
How do you reconcile these two points as believing JW's? My questions are:
Q1) You are told to follow everything the GB says yet as the Feb 2017 WT says they can be wrong, thoughts?Q2) The direction mentioned in the May 2013 WT is one of these things they could get wrong?
Q3) How can one follow obediently humans like the GB when they can be wrong?
Q4) How can they exact obedience when they can be wrong?
Q5) How does God view it when they are wrong? (I'll cite organ transplants as a doctrine that killed JW's but was wrong)
Q6) If one says these things are from Jehovah and they are wrong is that not very bad in God's eyes?
Q7) Has the GB ever said this, in that this is what God says then changed it?
I could go on and on.
I mean you believe and stand by 607 BCE despite the mass amount of evidence to the contrary but you are not going to change your mind on that subject but can you then answer the above questions?
How does any believing JW believe the GB are appointed by God to lead and be his representative when they admit and have shown they are clearly wrong in teachings, doctrine and policies YET still demand that you do everything they say no matter how crazy in the future it may seem.
