evening all.

my first post - born in but faded 15 years ago before that i was pimo for a number of years.. to put it bluntly the whole jw religion/thing is a crock of shit.

i sort of figured this out for myself before i faded but reading posts and comments on this forum confirms this.

And JW's are not allowed to think about sex? O_o

Of course not, sex is bad! :)

So funny how for creatures who were suposed to live "forever" sex and sexuality is such a massive part of our mental and physiological makeup.

Really, is copulation the best way to create a perfect eternal race of worshipers? Is that the best god could come up with?

Within a blink of an eye, the earth would be filled by people? So what are our genitals good for then?

And yes - everyone thinks about sex large parts of they day.

And yes - our hormones demand such, and it is a biological imperative.

Religion has made sex as bad, sinful, and wrong.
Religion has used sex as a way to control people.
Religion has made it so women who are sexual are dirty and bad.

Oral and anal sex is forbidden even in marriage within the Jehovah Witness religion.

OMG THEY ARE THE BEST! Especially anal!

Religion needs to end.

i was told that it is written in the bible that jw.org is the true religion.

(fyi everyone thinks their religion is true, and all the others are false or not right)

The bible is one of the most hateful collections of writing ever.

i notice they commented that "we" should not sympathise with protestors, like the protestors are always right.

sometimes i feel a protest would be a good place for a machine gun, because i do have feelings on different things.

despite their stated neitral stance, the wt is left leaning.

March broadcast - Tightpants Tony wants to be filmed in action

did anyone else notice this?.

tony tightpants has the "morning worship" featurette in the march jw broadcast.. he appears to be hoping that someone will be videotaping the slaughter of 7 billion men, women, and children at armageddon.. quote is something like "we have some really good videographers here at bethel, but i don't think even they could capture what will happen.

still, all things are possible with god..." (not exact, but that is the gist).. and of course morris imagines himself as one of the "anointed", who will be the ones, per wt doctrine, to conduct the slaughter.. it takes a special kind of hubris, arrogance, and sadism to wish that you yourself could be filmed in the act of slaughtering billions of people.. i've encountered a lot of jws with "dark souls", but based on his public comments, i'd say morris has teh blackest one i've seen.. if he says stuff like this for broadcast to 8 million + jws, what does he say in private?

Yes, just like what slimboy said - now - a depiction of what it would look like.

Now why would someone even contemplate wanting a video of 7+ billion people being killed is the real question.

Would this be a good thing to look at?

Maybe it would. Maybe JWs might see that their loving dog is not all that loving after all.

Short-sighted WT ?

it has always struck me that wt is so very short-sighted in many things.

often, they are very re-active, and not so much pro-active in their reasoning and the way they plan for the future.. just thinking today, and have kicked this one around for a while now.. is the watchtower organization truly sustainable?

is a new monetary structure on the horizon?

Short sighted WT is never an issue when the "Flock" can't remember what they were told to believe last year.

And their expenses are minimal compared to the money they have coming in.
Remember over 2 billion in property sales in a pretty short time.

They have zeroed out or greatly reduced there top expensives over the last 5 or 6 years.
They will continue to do that.

my father in law (robert stillman) killed himself in 1993. after the "new light" came out in 1981 we could no longer have limited contact with dis-fellowedshipped persons.

after years of being shunned by his only family he blow his brains out with a 38 special.

There was a sister when I was growing up who was so so nice, a great person. She was in an Ultra Uber family.

She smoked, could not kick it, got DFed, and eventually killed herself.

I never want to hear anyone say "this is a ?harmless cult".

is it possible that anyone being truthful with themself can literally believe that there needs to be a cork placed in this problem.. if this continues, and most sources, not speaking about fox, are suggesting this is only going to get worse and at this rate there will be over 750k illegal migrants.

how are we suppose to sustain this influx.

the massive amounts of children flooding the schools in my own municipality is crippling, for many of the counties residents.. as an example the entire county offered free breakfast and lunch to all students.

Helping your Spouse wake up

has anyone had success in helping your spouse to wake up?

i’m thinking of showing my husband jwfacts.

he is starting to do his own research using wikipedia and google.

I did. She was part of an UBER UBER family.

I consistently dipped things to her - but in a way as to where I was confused, and or upset, or just not feeling right.

I kept telling her about disturbing things that were going on during elders meetings. I would be very open about how this stuff is not right and is hurting people.

I would point out the incompetent of many of the elders, and how our training is worthless.

I would point out the hypocrisy I would see.

I also had talks about how things didnt make sense. From things like masterbation being wrong, to why did God need 6 extinction level events before he got it right, to how the Flood could not have happened, and had to be a local event.

I pointed out how the bible makes a big deal about a woman not screaming while being raped (with no caveats to it - like her mouth was covered, or he had a knife to her throat, or no one was around) - but David and Solomon got to F#uch hundreds of women and it was ok.

How there was no chance that in Davids and Solomons harem - the girls were not having lesbian sex, and how David and Solomon were probably having group sex with there concubines.

I pointed out that a concubine is just a sex slave, and how is that ok?

Or when we had the reading about Balaam, that when a donkey started to talk, that instead of Balaam freaking out and running away, he stood there and had an argument with the animal like it was normal.

Or how strange that Satan really didnt lie to A & E, because at the end of chapter 3 God confirms what Satan said.

Or was there really only one way to get back into Eden? What was there a wall with only one gate? And why didnt their kids all continually try and get in sicce the tree ment live?

Or why did god introduce man to the FIRST weapon? A sword? Was that a good idea?

If he didnt want them to eat meat - why did he give them Furs from animals?

I talked about how scared I was when the WT put all the legal burden on local elders when it came to DFing and such.

I told her how confused I was that we needed to give all our Hall savings to the WT even though we didnt have a mortgage, and all the craziness about the LDC and such.

On and on like this over a long period of time. I was a prominent elder, not a "spiritual loose" :)

Eventually she did her own research, and woke up.

The scientists who warn us of the dangers of climate change . The environmentalists who tell of the pollution of our oceans by plastic . The horticulturists who report a decline in insects due to the use of pesticides . Perhaps it is these people who are the true prophets today rather than the ' religious folk ' They are more in keeping with the examples of prophets in the Old Testament .
