Difficult Conversations

morning all.

if you have read my previous posts you will know of the final stage of my fade is complete, with no longer attending meetings anymore.

with that in mind, do you have any suggestions to how to handle those conversations raised by familiy and friends about leaving?.

there are no easy answers for this.

everyone wakes in their own time. when my dad died, i was 100% unwilling to doubt anything other than that which supported the ressurection doctrine, i clung to it for dear life.

in my deepest unspeakable despair, as i watched my mom slowly and painfully die, i thought "there can be no god". i never prayed again. after that i allowed myself to start questioning, but even then it was a process. its quicker for some than others. you just hsve to be patient with her.

i dont really know how best to handle these conversations, other than just be patient, slow, and loving.

After A Day In Field Service, Did You Get Euphoric Or A Spiritual High?

i know this might sound silly but field service did provide a strange type of good feelings after i was done.

i called this the "halo-effect" because i felt so "righteous, obedient and good" for taking the weirdos or "the friends" in my station wagon.

vans and station wagon owners in the congregations often get used hard, pile up seven whacks and your off!

are you talking about the photo on pg 22? its tiny. the sky just looks a wee bit hazy. i dont see any clouds? crap, i had my hopes up for something blatant.

a DO once said at pioneer school that genetic information is only passed thru the fathers side, women are only incubators, thus "scientifically" giving evidence of the headship arrangement. "whaa?!?!"

looking back, i cant belive i sat thru this and made excuses to justify not walking out right then and there.
