I think it's been quite well established what jst2laws was trying to accomplish with this thread. I'm really sorry it got off track. If you want to make it better, start a thread about how long all of us were Witnesses -- I for one was raised a Witness, was baptized at age 9, pioneered for 13 years, and left when I was 46. That's a pretty impressive track record.
I think that is a good way to look at it. I was raised a Witness, baptized at 17. I'm inactive so I've technically never left.

I was just going to say to talesin that I'm sure that Big Tex didn't mean to offend you cause I happen to know that he's a big sweet loveble man.
Boy, you start mentioning elders and everybody gets all nervous and touchy, myself included. What a work over we all got from those tiny men in little rooms. Nothing evidences it more then the variety of posts on this thread.

I know what Jst2laws intent was but I think it could have been worded differently. I must say that aside from not being offended, cause pretty much nothing offends me, I agree with Flower on most of her take on this. I didn't think of the female thing but the other stuff I agree with. Ok, I'm sorry to upset the natural order of the universe. Xena, take your top off!!

One of the reasons for this thread is to help lurkers see that this site is not the home of exjw misfits and lowlifes. There are former elders, bethelites, and occasional CO or DO.Perhaps it would be a bit less offensive if those of use who weren't elders, bethelites and/or CO or DO's weren't labeled as exjw misfits & lowlifes.
Regardless of intent, there are two groups defined in jst2laws post: "former elders, bethelites, and occasional CO or DO" and "exjw misfits and lowlifes". Having never been an elder, bethelite, CO or DO, I have to assume that I'm an exjw misfit and lowlife. Now while that is true and that sort of thing doesn't offend me, I can still see how some would take offense by that statement.
I must apologize because I saw that the above statement needed to be edited so as not to offend but I didn't take it as far as the females on the board did. It was an excellent point that I never thought of. I'm sorry my beautiful sisters.

BTW, Editorials don't cost anything and the WT is near and dear to New Yorkers hearts.
I would contribute to the $50,000 for the page. Even though I don't like the Times, the New York Times is considered one of the premeire papers in the world. If we took an ad out, it would get coverage.
I agree with sKally, it's not for dubs it's for the public and the embarrassment to the dubs with the public.
