Well, we met for brunch. It was probably the best brunch that I've ever had. VERY good food and great place. We cleaned them out of iced tea!
Then we went back to Badwillies house and talked for most of the afternoon. I think they were getting ready to tie me to the sofa and gag me to shut me up. I was trying not to look at Flower too much out of the corners of my eyes... We talked and laughed and drank a very nice wine.
Then we left and went to Flowers hotel and watched the Eagles cream the Packers at the hotel bar. It was very exciting and loads of fun!! Next time, Flower is just going to have to get a room with a hot tub or something...

Police Arrest Local Gang Members

Tagging is a form of graffiti that gangs use to symbolize certain symbols that relate to the particular gang and to signify their own alphabets. The symbols and letters have meanings to other gang members who see the graffiti.
Tagging is similar to the old game of tag except the players tag, or put their personal "mark," with a can of spray paint says Officer Paul O'Daniel, with the 2nd precinct.
"Sometimes it turns into a game where one person sprays a tag and another goes out and finds it," O'Daniel said. "Basically, individuals come up with a moniker or certain symbol and it's theirs and they tag it. They do it for kicks."
O'Daniel said tagging is characterized by figures or names and normally, but not necessarily, is done in balloon lettering. "Most taggers are very artistic," he said. "Normally it has meaning to them."
Police are still trying to decifer the inscribed writing on the walls of Belshazzar Street, "MENE, MENE, TEKEL, and PARSIN", but believe it is a message for a rival gang regarding an imminent gang war.
Tagging, regardless of the artistic quality, is misdemeanor vandalism, and adults arrested for the crime can be sentenced to 11 months and 29 days in jail. The vandal can also be fined and required to pay restitution. A juvenile charged with vandalism can be required to pay restitution, fined, placed on probation or even taken into state custody.

In a city with a population of just under a million jews, you would hardly think there was room for another jewish bakery, but entrepanuers Shadrack, Meshack and Abidnigo seem to think that they have the recipe for success.
While their competition consists of familiar places such as Manhatten Bagel and Duncun Donuts, Shadrack says that they are targeting the higher end pastry market. "Anyone can make a bagel" says Shadrack, "but we guarantee quality kosher products that taste great. That is what we feel sets us apart."
Utilizing their unusual walk-in oven, they heat their baked goods seven times hotter then a typical bakery. That seems to have paid off as the brothers have won the award for best bagels in Manhatten from Modern Bakers magazine multiple times. For those concerned, everything in the store except for the cream cheese is kosher and pareve and the store isn't open during the sabbath.
Shardrack, Meshack and Abidnigo's Bakery makes great pastries and cream cheeses. Some of their best selling items are Chocolate Cinnamon Rugallah, the Apple Cheese Puff, and the German Chocolate Brownie. There are a few tables and chairs to sit and eat at but they are usually only all occupied during lunch time by people eating bagel sandwiches, which are also very good.
They have a large selection of cream cheeses. They also have low-fat cream cheese and different kinds of fish spreads like tuna and lox. The most annoying thing about this bakery is that pastry prices aren't really marked, although you can ask and most of them are $1.50 or $.99.

Please wish me luck...
by safe4kids ini've got the first part of my state certification this morning...a three hour exam covering the last month and a half of training on state law, the judicial system, case practice, interventions, indicators of maltreatment and abuse et cetera and i've got anxiety out the wazoo (btw, does anyone know what a wazoo is??).
i have to pass this in order to keep my job and i've heard that it's pretty difficult, so i'm stressing just a wee bit.
i'm thinking the gallon of coffee i've already had this morning may not have been such a good idea??
