i hav not been to a meeting in almost 10 years... in that time i have not had 1 witness knock at my door. actually a spanish one came by and just said "oh well send our english speaking friends" ... really? you have a lifesaving message and thats it? hmmm... not surprising... as a pioneer i always hoped for "not interested" haha quick easy... racking up the hours!

I am not highly educated (only a few years college)... but i do feel very strongly that there isnt a god. I used to question that universal sovereignty as a publisher... I am really? Aids, rape, daily murders, children dying at at birth (personal for me)... i mean go on and on thinking about the worst things here on earth. These exist because a talking snake (really!?) gave fruit to the very first woman and god is proving a point! 6,000 years of suffering? GTFO. I then noticed the many religions out there have one thing in common... an afterlife of some sort... So to me its pretty simple... the human race cannot accept its own mortality... so wheteher its reincarnation... nirvana... an eternal soul... going to heaven or a paradise earth... people just make shit up becomes it gives them hope. For me gimme my time to make a mark and enjoy my family and im good.

i was waiting for approval (not trolling) just wanted to say hello n give my story... .

my parents converted when i was in 3rd grade ... and i went with it cuz i was a good boy... baptized at 15 and pioneered at 16... though i always had doubts about different doctrines.

thanks all! I never thought about how having my bros n sis out was a huge deal... but they say me leaving made it that much easier for them. Yes i find many of the threads here spark my critical thinking... something i could use as the redundancy of little offers little opportunity for that. thanks again.

I was always ashamed in school though and it made me socially akward...Full on DF when i was 20 and now an aetheist... leaving as an adult was the best decision ever... Now i have two small children and love that they will not grow up as i did. Four younger siblings all left "the truth" and only my father and his new jw wife still go to meetings... look forward to interacting with you all here on this board ... like i said i enjoy all threads here
