Gorbatchoc, it comes across as childish, like he's lecturing small children.

***Red Alert for Memorial Avoiders***
by The Fall Guy indavid can't xsplane of the gibbering body is urging jw's to go out in field serve-us today to target their bible studies, return visits, and inactive jw's for a second time with the invitation to the annual rejection of christ - just in case they've "forgotten the date" or "lost their invitation.
go to 1 minute 45 seconds for the marketing speech.. https://tv.jw.org/#en/mediaitems/webhomeslider/pub-jwb_201904_14_video.
could the cult's hierarchy be fearing reduced attendances this year - especially of "interested ones"?.

Review: revised Elder's manual, part 4 (final part)
by neat blue dog inhere's the cruel, uncomfortable and dehumanizing description of transport for disfellowshipped ones:.
in cases of real need, the elders can determine wheth-er some assistance may be provided.
such assistance would be viewed as similar to public transportation in that there should be no conversing with the disfellowshipped or disassociated person.

Recognizing spiritual weakness to me sounds like they're saying recognizing when someone tries to fade. Does anybody else get that impression?

Yeah it does come across as a little weird. Did they do this before? He sure comes off as a condescending dick, telling them to memorize phrases. And his whole they might have forgotten what day it is or lost the invitation thing sounds like he pulled it out of you you-know-where.

Individual Witnesses need to pay the administrative fee? So insulting, they go out there to make converts so people can donate their money to the Governing Body. And they make you pay to advertise their religion. Incredible.
I also love that they throw in the most important point of spiritual weakness, criticizing the elders in the organization, right at the end. Don't people say that's what you're supposed to do if you're trying to slip something by someone, throw it in right at the end? Classic.

If the meetings are so enjoyable and serving the big J is such a privilege...
by HiddenPimo inwhy is it that all of the friends show happiness and excitement when a meeting is cancelled?.
no meetings week of memorial "what a blessing from jah!".
bad weather - oh it's so nice to have a night off.

What isn't a blessing from Jehovah? This elderly sister one time said in a service that if the elders let you clean a toilet you better believe that's a privilege. I almost lost it. So self-alienated. -

Review: revised Elder's manual, part 3
by neat blue dog injudicial committees are famous for having 3 elders on board, but more can also be had:.
complex cases may warrant having four or even five experienced elders on the committee.. an interesting admission is the possibility of being harsh in judgment, and even insinuates that the elders would pay with their lives if the wrongly judged 'lost their spirituality':.
an individual unjustly dealt with may have difficulty maintaining his spirituality.-matt.

I love how what they call spiritual assistance mean shaming and disciplining people. What kind of assistance is that? At least when you go and confess to a priest they give you something that's going to take you like 10 minutes, say ten Hail Marys kind of thing. Reproof can last for months.

Review: revised Elder's manual, part 2
by neat blue dog inthen we get to one of the main purposes of the book, a catalog of all the sins you can get disciplined for.
just to be sure, this disclaimer kicks things off:.
listed below are offenses that may require review by a judicial committee.

Review: revised Elder's manual, part 1
by neat blue dog inrecently the new super-top-secret no girlz alowd elders' treehouse club manual was released.
during phase one it was released to apostates for beta testing via file-sharing sites, and then it was rolled out to elders nationwide, together with precautions to keep it confidential.

That's such a weird rule, like why would your mind even go there? Oh you're pregnant? Make sure that if there's complications you won't die (hopefully) 'cause we won't let you take a blood transfusion. Try this: Congratulations! When is the baby due?

Literature Carts are Really a Vast Spy Network
by HiddenPimo ini am not sure if this is getting into the tin foil hat arena, but what if one of the reasons for the carts is to spy out who is leading a double life and to catch the pimo's?
they are everywhere in common public areas.
like the stasi of e. germany.. i know i may be reaching, but we all know the way zealous j dubs love to rat out anyone who steps out of line.. they can't be there to place literature, because no one is taking it.

I made a post like this a long time agonot using the word spy network but pointing out that witnessing puts Jehovah's Witnesses out into the community where they can see what other people are doing. Is that the main purpose? No, but if they see somebody doing something wrong will they report them to the elders immediately, hell yes.

Have you been embarrassed just to be with somebody?
by stillin inthe cult draws a lot of strange people in.
people who act like snobs about education and how much more important the witnessing work is.
people with hang-ups.

I think that's the whole point of most of those beliefs and practices, it's about making you out yourself so you don't get to connect with other people and that makes it all the more appealing when they talk about those people dying, you don't like them anyway, they make fun of you and mistreat you.
