We'll have to see what we can do about that.

That wasn't aimed at you Minimus, I was responding to iXav. I don't think there's anything wrong with talking about race, and I'm glad you started this discussion.

It's a great forgetfulness. Years and years of anticipation that go nowhere. At what point do you fold your hand and say, "I'm out, enough." I guess most JWs have too much in the game already to do that.

Racism does not benefit anyone, much less the stigmatized persons. Let's get that clear. -

I want the police defunded and I live a peaceful, orderly life. I don't want to burn buildings down. Minimus, you're overgeneralizing a little and you've been doing that in this thread. Police brutality against non-whites continues to be a serious problem which needs addressing. By far, not every police shooting of a minority involves the minority attacking police.

I was raised a non-JW but I went door to door preaching once. It was awful. So uncomfortable and I felt ashamed. Kids shouldn't go through that.

That's a little idealistic. Laws cannot be openly racist any more. That doesn't mean they can't be covertly racist.

You're good man. I hear you, but I think it would be valuable for the conversation. Let me provide one. This is from Wikipedia:
Institutional racism, also known as systemic racism, is a form of racism that is embedded through laws within society or an organization. It can lead to such issues as discrimination in criminal justice, employment, housing, health care, political power, and education, among other issues. Institutional racism can have harmful effects on people, especially on students in school where it is prominent
