Yeah, I put on some weight. I've lost a few pounds from getting back to the gym. Otherwise, I haven't been sick or anything.

Does the GB direct cult members to burn old books?
by mickbobcat ini was told but can not find anything concrete that the cult gb directs cult members to burn old cult books and literature.
is this true.

They don't ask them to burn books per se, but they do tell them to discard old books, as other posters have pointed out. The apparent aim is to keep Witnesses from seeing that they're being spoonfed the same bullshit that's been fed to Witnesses for decades before them.

The Governing Body like todays Democraps
by mickbobcat inthe governing body is a lot like today's dems.
they want to keep the rank and file in a permanent dependent state.
keep them stupid and dependent and they can rule them forever.

The Governing Body is much more like Trump. They're idiotic clowns who enjoy an undeserved cult of personality.

Converted Greek Philosopher Explains Christianity in 125 AD
by Sea Breeze ini ran across a pretty early treatise.
we were all taught that "real" christianity was lost to history and was only restored once russell and then rutherford restored it so that the wt could be appointed as god's "mouthpiece".
but, aristides wrote to the emperor hadrian and gave a pretty good synopsis of core christian belief in 125 ad.

I don't care if they're widely considered genuine, they're fake. They were supposedly written by a guy who was being taken off to be executed for being a Christian... and his captors allowed him to proselytize on the way? Somehow I doubt that. The forger is probably Polycarp himself.

I would be careful quoting the letters of Ignatius. Sorry to tell you, but they're fake.

I find it interesting that the author doesn't put a name to the gospel. It's just the gospel.

Wow, they really want to get back to judging people, don't they? Holy shit they made a chart? These people are something else. Yep, pandemic's on, let's toss some people out onto the street for disagreeing with the Governing Body or living their own life. God forbid.
