  as many here know..my hubby has terminal cancer.

  well hospice came today and we discussed many things.

  one of them was a 'pastor of your choice".

  Many thoughts, concerns, and hugs your way. I am so sorry.

  You are doing such a great job. How loving of you to continue to arrange visits with hubby's witness relatives and to try and arrange them with the elders. You have really tried to comply with his wishes, to help him find some sort of peace.

  I admire you.

  I can only think of one JW I would want anywhere near me if I was ill or dying. I think they write him off as crazy now and thats the only reason he's still in.

  More and more, all the stories, both personal and public, have me considering making a clean break, and dropping this fade away. Where did you find the courage to DA yourself? I know you are consumed with more important things right now. Perhaps you have told your story before. I hope someday to hear it.

  would anyone like to comment on the following observations?.

  the very large majority of the jws that i come into contact with on a regular basis are not wealthy and many have very low incomes, yet they still make substantial contributions to the wbts every month.

  because they are firmly lead to believe that it is an organisation that is struggling for its financial survival.. following a recent visit from the c.o.

  Two reasons why most JW's would not be fazed by the true nature of the Society's worth:

  1.. For all their nay-saying about material wealth, the Witnesses, in reality, actually admire those that have much ( especially when they can say"oh yes, that's MY organization".

  2...The Witnesses see the Org. as their protector. A wealthy protector must mean a strong protector.

  Sometimes, in the heat of emotion, people say things that,yes, border on sweeping generalizations. I too, do not believe every JW engages in pedophilia. Yet as the evidence against that organization continues to mount, the question begs asking, "Do I give blind allegiance to an organization that perpetuates such a woeful policy on acknowledging and dealing with child molestation?" For some to say," I'm not aware of such problems", or," that's just propaganda spread by disgruntled apostates" doesn't cut it anymore, and only serves notice of a persons unwillingness to honestly defend "truth". Though I haven't lived many years, I have seen that there are consequences for anyone who rationalizes away the truth. And that holds true no matter how noble that rationalization can seem. I will not judge those sticking with that organization, but for my own spiritual health, I will put distance between me and such a font of denial, and will share my experience when needed.

  Thank you so much for all your hard work in getting this up.

  We fixed our dinner, and spent another hour watching the reality of Child Molestation amongst Jehovahs Witnesses. Through such investigations the truth about their hurtful policy becomes ever more so clear. Glad they are being exposed repeatedly in the Media.

  Hopefully, as a result some victims will be spared.

  SloBoy and Spouse. . . .shunned for supporting victims.

  i read the newspaper every morning, but this morning it hit me like a ton of bricks..... i've checked the fresno bee website and the story is not there, so i will try to scan it in and send to someone to post....any takers?.

  ex-church elder accused of molest..... visalia, ca...a 38 year old visalia man who was a leader in a local congregation may face up to 16 years in prison on charges of sexually molesting a 12 year old congregation member..... louis anguaino served until last year as an elder at the kh of jw on 5310 caldwell ave. he is accused of continuous sexual abuse over a two year period of a girl who attended the same congregation..... .

  Avishai.....you mentioned something about the JW mindset. I think it's important to note that ;as JW's we were ;conditioned, ;right or wrong, to put ;implicit trust in the elders, not the pioneers. ;It takes time and experience to understand that ;such trust was ;misplaced. As an organization, the hand writing is on the wall. As for individual members, someone greater than me will decide who acted when they ;should have and who didn't.

  Ah, yes.....New Light! has shone forth on their molestation policy, they are now in compliance with CPS....remember when they said they would never allow disgruntled apostates to dictate policy to them .....well, keep on keeping on you disgruntled apostates, gravity is present. LDH..so true, for them, its still about their image and not the victims welfare. May that organization be relegated to the trash heap it justly deserves.

  Hey Grunt..and everyone else who is consumed with WEAPONS OF MASS DESTRUCTION; ... wasn't it three hijacked airliners that caused the 9/11 attack? WOW!! I think they then referred to it as "low tech" terrorism. Bush's attack on Afganistan went well didn't it? Like, where is Osama? And didn't we hear today about a fire fight over there that was the worse since the invasion? Something is not quite right with this administrations gauge for "success"

  Rather than comment on things as arbitrary as the notion that "if a person has a lot of money, he obviously worked harder than most"(which is just one of many fallacies that highlights why having a lot of money is so appealing; image, baby, image), lets talk of things that were said by this administration in justifying their rationale for tax cuts. We're told it will help the economy because those getting the break will RE-INVEST it. Riiiight! The reality is that the majority of those who would qualify for the break (and I'm not referring here to those that barely make it at $300,000.00, like some on this illustrious site) have oodles of cash for investment right now. If there not investing at present, what is going to motivate them to do so after than tax-cut? And please don't play that propagandized sympathy card about it allowing older dividend recepients not to have to eat cat food in their golden years. This country has truly become a "corpocracy" and the president is sitting on the board.

  here in jamaica queens new york, one of the congregations is named, rochdale congregation.

  my brother-in-law went to the meeting at this congregation this past sunday and he saw that notices from the wts have been posted on the bulletin board which officially say that the wts is moving all printing operations upstate to either patterson or wallkill.

  Yes, legal fees and settlements do add-up. I just hope that many R&F witnesses will see through whatever spin is put on this and wake up to the fact that the WBTS has gained such valued property holdings by squeezing millions from those that are usually struggling financially themselves....JWS..I heard that in one area a Kingdom Hall was sold not to long ago and turned into a funeral home...reports say that current owners take better care of it than the previous ones.

  well i have officially graduated from the florida college of natural health and have applied for my license to become an esthetician!!!!
