How many non-believers on the inside

it's taken me about 7 years after leaving the watchtower, to become actively involved within the exjw communities.

as part of this i created a couple of videos to, hopefully, help some others.

but what amazed me was the number of people who have pm'd me via youtube who are still active members of the watchtower - who know it's not the truth - but haven't left.

It's taken me about 7 years after leaving the Watchtower, to become actively involved within the exJW communities. As part of this I created a couple of videos to, hopefully, help some others. But what amazed me was the number of people who have PM'd me via YouTube who are still active members of The Watchtower - who know it's not The Truth - but haven't left. This is not a critism as I know that are lots of reasons why people don't or feel they can't leave.

Now I am wondering what the estimates would be as to how many inside the congregations are non-believers, and how many of those non-believers are actively working as a group to expose the Watchtower...? Would anyone have a handle on the guesstimates - is it in the thousands ?

Do You Ever Doubt Your Efforts Are Futile?

...hello folks.... ...i've read countless of posts, ideas, opinions, etc here and i'm interested in your response.... ...there is a whole gamut of feelings here from individuals that are simply annoyed with the wt organization, to those that come off as hellbent on putting the org out of comission.... ...others yet seem to have made it their mission in life to eradicate the concept of god himself.... ...to any of these, what is your motivation?

and do you ever doubt that these efforts are futile?

do you feel that you posses the power/ability/means to change the convictions/faiths of the masses?

Nothing I do now is a waste of time, when compared to the thousands of hours of my life that I threw away preaching what I thought was Truth, but found out through taking the time to carefully research the WT's history, it was all a bunch of complete BS. I discovered I was spreading something that had no solid basis - a complete fairy tale. After two years of intensive research the sad reality dawned on me that I may as well have been telling people that Noddy was going to return and rebuild ToyTown ... here's a video outlining just one of the many lies I had preached to people for decades...

hmmm well for what it's worth - EOMs opening and subsequent posts did provide me with some laugh-out-loud moments. So in all sincerity thank you to EOM for that.

While I am sure EOM's intentions are good - they have left themselves wide open to feedback. I mean promising to post a video that includes not only " ALL the mysteries of God"... but also " ALL of the prophecies Jesus had foretold which were hidden and lost yet being fullfilled the entire time." In my books this takes "self-promoting" to a whole new level - LOL.

...and LBH... offering them motivation to complete the project is somewhat pointless and rather condescending - don't you think?

I don't think these nutters should be encouraged.

Weird stuff that only an exJW would know

i was thinking tonight about all the wierd stuff that i viewed as totally normal being brought up as a jw.... here's my list.... - eating broken easter eggs after easter was not a sin.

- your car always had to be clean in time for the co visit.

- being assigned to the car park at a convention, with a walkie talkie, meant you had powerful connections.. - the amount of lines and hand writing on your sunday watchtower, spoke volumes of your spirituality.

eating birthday cake brought in by someone in the office is OK if no one sees you.

hilarious - I think every JW has been guilty of that.
