They had an awesome singing choir, and they could certainly turn out a good tune.
Of course they could, we are talking about Filipinos here.
well i have heard various comments about them on here, so last week i decided to do an internet search on them.
i was quite surprised to find there was an inc in my local area and ironically only meters away from the kh.. it was very interesting to say the least, and in the short time i was there i could quite understand how they get there reputation as a high control religion if not a cult.
in some respects i think they are probably more jw than the jws.. let me explain how my visit went.

Philippines is full of those. Every town seems to have one. Of course, almost every town has a Kingdom Hall also.

MLK was a hard drinker who frequently hired prostitutes and embezzled church money.
i’ve been here for many years.
the tone seems to be different in this place.
not so many pissed off exjws .
My anger has long since subsided, fortunately.
just wondering if this is a common thing for you guys and girls?
when i left the jws it was hard to make a connection with people, much of the time i felt that whatever they wanted to talk about just didn't seem relevant/deep/meaningful.
i find myself filtering my mind to get to a level with others (small talk mostly).
I'm raising two kids with another one due next month, too busy anymore to worry too much about life's meanings.
last year i had a brother tell me that one proof evolution is false is that he doesn't see it happening today... i was going to bring of viruses evolving so fast that new vaccines must be developed each year but felt he was too closed minded to receive it.
today i was listening to the audio book of 'an ancestors tale- richard dawkins' and noted oe point that shined through.. here is evolution happening>>>.

When I was a boy, I remember seeing a fish walk out of water. Let me tell you, when that happened, it changed everything.
And, as a young man, we saw the dinosaurs sprout feathers and wings. Good times, man, good times.
People say Evolution is still out there doing her thing. Let me tell you something, though, she ain't what she used to be.
most hard to swallow meat and fish (that i was aware of) that i have ever eaten is rabbit, but also deer, octopus and eel sushi.. how about your meat eatings?
what have you eaten that is interesting?.
Ate a boiled egg with a chicken embryo in it (balut). Really chewy. Chased it with a shot of rum.
a year ago i had a rough time and posted this .
it was a controversial topic, some people got offended by my overly boastful tone, others offered help.
i appreciate any kind of opinion and i try to correct the flaws in my personality.
Water is wet.
Canadians seem nervous.
"That’s a debate for Americans to sort out.
For Canadians, there will be others. In the wake of this bill, policy-makers in Ottawa and the provincial capitals face two dilemmas: whether to react to these ground-shifting tax changes, and how.
In the blink of an eye, the mighty southern neighbour goes from having one of the highest corporate tax rates in the industrialized world to one that is equal to Canada’s combined federal-provincial rates, which average around 27 per cent.
For about three decades, tax expert Jack Mintz says Canada’s competitive edge in attracting business investment has rested on a pair of pillars — a far lower corporate tax rate, and free trade.
One pillar is gone, with the U.S. tax change. The other is wobbling. Tr... ‘Do I invest in Canada, with a small population, small market, to serve the North American market, or do I go to the United States?”‘ said Mintz, of the University of Calgary."
Germans too
The tax competition will have a new dimension,” said Christoph Spengel, chairman of the corporate tax department at the University of Mannheim. Mr. Spengel, who is also a research associate at the Center for European Economic Research, and a group of tax experts at the university have done a detailed comparison of the two countries’ tax systems and published a report under the heading, “Germany loses out in US tax reform.”
Clemens Fuest, who heads the Ifo economic think tank, also said he believed German business would suffer. “Investments and jobs will migrate to the US,” he said.
