Obama appears to have been a model husband and father. I think it's preferable, other factors being equal, that the first citizen set a good example in his personal life.
It's possible Trump's had a change of heart since Stormy, I suppose.

Either Putin sanctioned this or there are elements operating independently of his power.
This possibility must be seriously considered.
Perhaps there is some kind of Game of Thrones battle going on in Russia between Putin and somebody with deep connections to the military, capable of getting that toxin. Putin may have been framed by another potential oligarch, maybe tied to a competing wing of the Russian mafia. There are always competing factions in organized crime.

Of all the ways to kill people, why be so stupid as to use nerve agents banned under international treaties? Something's wrong with this picture. The Russians aren't stupid. Either they wanted to send a message and were willing to pay the price or it was a false flag attack.
