That has always been the organization's view- obedience is more important than anything else. If you disagree with the organization, and they eventually come around to your way of viewing an issue, they can still remove you as an apostate. Being correct was not what mattered- obeying the WTS/GB was, even when they were wrong.

The One Way Speed of Light Could Be Instantaneous
by Sea Breeze inphysics students learn the speed of light, c, is the same for all inertial observers but no one has ever actually measured it in one direction.
assuming that light travels the same speed in all directions is a convention, rather than an experimentally verified fact.
this really challenges what we think we know.. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ptn6ewhb27k&ab_channel=veritasium .

I think that TD is saying that, if you know the distance you are measuring, and if you can record the time the light takes to return, then you also know the time it took to travel to the reflective surface.

A day in the life ...
Dijana: "Can you bring that last bag of shopping in Lloyd?"
Lloyd: "How much? Make me an offer ..."D: "But it's just a bag of grocer--"
L: "Do not demean me, woman! Carrying bags into the house is my life's work, and I won't let you bully me into giving up! My efforts matter too much!"
D: "Oh, goodness! I'll do it myse--"
L: "Trying to steal my thunder? How dare you! Push me aside and grab all the glory for yourself? Is that how it works?"
D: *slams the door shut, leaving L outside*
L: "So now I see how it is! Sorry dear, but I'm afraid I'm going to have to add you to the litigation!"
D: *props a chair against the door...

Croatia isn't going to extradite anyone for defamation, even if there was a clear-cut case. Extradition is used when someone has committed a major crime in a country (murder, rape, kidnapping, spying, etc) and then leaves that country to avoid prosecution. And even then, it requires time and court appearances and agreements by the host country... and that is assuming that there is already an extradition treaty in place.
No country is going to arrest you and go through the trouble of setting up an extradition just because you put someone on blast and they're upset that people found out things about them. It's more likely that Croatia will offer to extradite Evans to any country that will have him, just to be rid of him.

I could do with some of that self confidence.
I think the problem is that it is bordering on self-delusion. The only way to be that confident is to lack self-awareness, which I do think is one of the problems he has. He does not seem capable of recognizing that some of his actions and arguments are unconvincing (or even harmful to his case). Doubling down doesn't help, nor does his stubborn determination to win at any cost, because he only really knows one way to deal with the pressure, which is to launch one massive attack after another. If your reaction to being called a bully is to bully even harder...

Billions to die at Armageddon?
by BoogerMan innot according to this verse:.
(mark 3:28, 29) truly i say to you that all things will be forgiven the sons of men, no matter what sins they commit and what blasphemies they speak.
but whoever blasphemes against the holy spirit has no forgiveness forever but is guilty of everlasting sin.”.

Kim this is how he has won Every Single Time, in the past. He’s like a dog whose only talent is to bark longer and louder. He’s got endless energy for the fight
I think that's because he has the most skin in the game, and thus the most to gain or lose from any confrontation. I have no doubt that he is convinced he is right, and that helps keep him going. But more than that is the need to keep his reputation intact among as many of his followers as possible, since they're the source of his funding and can bring more people to his channel, and thus to his Patreon. And, not incidentally, they keep his ego well-fed.
I believe him when he says his current efforts are exhausting. There are simply too many fires to try to put out, and he seems to throw himself into any effort at fighting back when people call him out. I mean... he's plowing through the comments section of Kim's video, responding to as much as he can, even though he seems to understand how futile it is. But he can't help himself.
And let's remember that moderation doesn't seem to be his strong suit.

The comment section is a gold mine.
Not surprising: Lloyd stating that he was done responding to comments, then spending time to respond to another dozen (or two dozen) comments.
Surprising: The apology from one of his former patrons, who admitted to taking his $50-per-month (!!!!) to another exJW youtuber.

Oh, I think I get it. In Croatia, defamation is also treated as a criminal offense. His lawyer had mentioned the "crime of insult" in his letters. That is where he appears to be confused. My guess: he can file civil charges for defamation, but there isn't much that can be done on the criminal end of things unless he manages to get Kim extradited for the crime of being a meany-face on the internet.
I'll bet the judge who ends up having to deal with Lloyd will have some stories to tell when it is all over. Maybe he'll stop by this thread and let us know how it went. I'm thinking it will be around page 420.
