Do You Think Trump Is Done?

certain forces appear to be trying to make sure donald trump never runs for president again.

some republicans are clearly abandoning trump and of course the democratic press has been saying trump is done!

I'd happily see him drop any pretense of a Presidential run and go away. But I do think that the charges are a witch hunt, meant to prevent him from winning another term. How that will turn out is anyone's guess. I don't even think it is necessary. His most ardent supporters will vote for him no matter what, but he has probably lost so much mainstream support that his only role would be to split the Republican vote. If he is completely removed from the picture, the 2024 election might be Biden vs DeSantis, and I think DeSantis wins that contest. Possibly by a landslide.

I thought Trump's political career was over after the "grab them by the pussy" remark, but he proved to be resilient. I think he did a lot better than he'll be remembered for, but at this point he's little better than Biden- a broken-down old man who should spend the rest of his days in a rocking chair on the porch, with a glass of lemonade in his hand. Not running a nation with massive military, industrial, and economic power that is coming to a crossroads that will determine its long-term future.

Jehovah's Witnesses and Tattoos

i was wondering about the jw attitude towards getting tattoos.. redditors suggest that the only jws who have them would have got them before they were baptised.. jw.org gives a meally-mouthed "true christians wouldn't" response.. but no-one (that i've seen so far) answers the question i'm actually asking: is getting a tattoo after being baptised a disfellowshipping offence?.

if not disfellowshipable, how would a typical jw congregation treat someone who got a tattoo after baptism?

would they really treat it like it is a conscience issue?.

As I understand it, that's a slang term referring to tattoos that women get just above their butt.

i`ll list a few things and welcome any input, comments you may have .. 1.when adam & eve "sinned" disobeyed him, surely god could have handled it better than to condemn all future generations to disease and death ?.

2.his handling of satan who supposedly seduced eve to disobey god could also have been done a lot differently with a finality to it.. 3.i find little if anything in his dealings with the patriarchs that suggests a loving god protecting them.?.

4.taking on the nation of israel and leading them as his chosen people does not inspire confidence or trust as a god of love.. 5.throughout the hebrew scriptures / old testament his chosen people were constantly at war with other nations which of course would have meant many deaths of the israelite`s during these battles .and the grief that comes with family members in those times.

It's not even a lot, when you think about it. Do some research, produce 200 or so minutes of usable content each month, and split it into ten videos. A week of work (if that) for a living wage. And he grew way past that. He had it made.

He'd be living the good life if not for his lack of mastery over his penis. And then some Thai "girl" told him that she could help "straighten out" the issue, and let's just say that Google translate doesn't always get it right...

Same here. We understood that the governing body was the faithful and discreet slave and all of that, but "the society" was the catch-all phrase. Everyone knew what was meant when someone said that "the society says this/that."

If I am not mistaken, the subsidies were upwards of $2 million per year. A pretty significant outlay for a relatively small religious denomination. If that number is correct, I can see why they'd be upset at losing their registration. I wonder if it is legal for them to funnel that money back to the HQ in the USA? Two million buys a lot of booze.
