  here is a talk by jeffrey jackson on how the governing body ''the slave class'' has remained spiritually awake over 100 years and alerted its members.. he looks back on the ''faithful and discreet slaves'' false dates over the 100 years: '' but at times, we look back over 100 years, and there were times they got excited about a certain year or time, and the end didn't come at that time.''.

  he makes the comparison between the ''slave class ( who disappointed others when the end didn't come ) to a barking watchdog ( who in his enthusiasm barks at nothing in the middle of the night and wakes up the owner).

  One thing to consider about the emphasis on 1975: it was said to be the year when 6,000 years of man's existence would be reached. What significance did the WTS ever give to that claim, that made it matter to the rank and file? Even now, what does it matter that 1975 marked 6,000 years since Adam's creation? Do they ever make any reference to it as meaning anything?

  The only significance that was ever implied was that it could mark the year when Jehovah would finally bring about the end of the current system of things and usher in the new world under divine governance. Otherwise, what did it matter that Adam was created 6,000 years prior to 1975? How would that affect anyone's decision to join the JWs? Why would they care? Outside of using it to push the concept that Armageddon was almost here, why would a person care about Adam's 6,000th birthday?

  Not that I'm a conspiracy theorist or anything... but maybe the plan is for Biden to be elected and then all of his chickens suddenly come home to roost. Democrats suddenly discover that he is old and feeble, that his son is as crooked as the day is long, and so on. Next thing you know, we have President Harris, and the DNC selects her new VP, and then President Harris mysteriously "Epsteins" herself and presto! You end up with the real DNC choice for President.

  So, your US President by late summer of 2025 is... CHELSEA CLINTON?!?!?!

  Tamalam: Do we really think he won't stoop so low as to claim to be incapacitated and unable to work...

  He would need to fall quite far to reach the point where a disability check would be his best option. He would be better off living in Croatia with a handful of Patreon/YouTube dollars coming in, than in the UK under government assistance.

  I'm betting that, if it comes down to putting in more time/effort into making videos versus spending 30-40 hours a week slaving under someone else for poverty-level wages, he will suddenly rediscover how easy it is to make videos by himself. And he wouldn't need all that much support to surpass what he would get from a menial job in Croatia. The problem would be keeping/growing such a small support base a second time, without the help of the people who made it possible before.

  Blood Card Check

  i remember many years ago that apparently there was an annual event where witnesses' blood cards (or whatever they're called) were checked by some visiting wt dignitary.

  that the blood cards were current, and that the r&f were carrying them.. given the situation in some countries that kingdom halls can't legally keep data about people who have been visited, is the practice of checking and enforcing the carrying of blood cards similarly illegal in some places?.

  are there any places where it is illegal for the hlc to set up camp near the hospital bed of a sick jw?.

  I don't ever recall anyone asking to see my blood card, and definitely not a traveling overseer. We would fill them out every year or so, I would put it in my wallet, and that would be the last I would see of it until I replaced it.

  Heck, there are people today who insist that the Earth must be flat, in the face of thousands of years of learning that demonstrate that it is a sphere. In the time before any of that work had been done, thinking the world was a flat plane wasn't such a crazy idea.

  LMsA: He fully expected everyone to be served and to face justice in a Sisak courtroom.

  He also expected them to be intimidated and for his support base to be energized. He will forever regret that confession video, because it has completely undermined everything he tried to do afterwards. How many supporters (including some big spenders) did he lose by spilling the beans? Even a year later, there were supporters of his who were finding out about the video and having a change of heart. He cannot delve too deep into the issue, because that might lead his remaining supporters (and any potential supporters) to the video. His attempts to be coy and mysterious fall apart because of what he said on the video.

  If he hadn't hidden it, I bet it would be the most-watched video on his channel, by far. He's a cartoon villain. "I'm going to get you, Kim! But first, allow me a few minutes to repeatedly bash myself in the face with this cast-iron pan..."

  I'd happily see him drop any pretense of a Presidential run and go away. But I do think that the charges are a witch hunt, meant to prevent him from winning another term. How that will turn out is anyone's guess. I don't even think it is necessary. His most ardent supporters will vote for him no matter what, but he has probably lost so much mainstream support that his only role would be to split the Republican vote. If he is completely removed from the picture, the 2024 election might be Biden vs DeSantis, and I think DeSantis wins that contest. Possibly by a landslide.

  I thought Trump's political career was over after the "grab them by the pussy" remark, but he proved to be resilient. I think he did a lot better than he'll be remembered for, but at this point he's little better than Biden- a broken-down old man who should spend the rest of his days in a rocking chair on the porch, with a glass of lemonade in his hand. Not running a nation with massive military, industrial, and economic power that is coming to a crossroads that will determine its long-term future.
