the narrator of the book of ecclesiastes had very little knowledge of many things that jesus and his apostles later preached.
the author does not make statements, but only wonders (thinks, observes, often raises questions, and leaves them open).
he looked at the world based on the law of moses and found nothing but vanity, as the earthly reward promised in the law did not always accompany good deeds and earthly punishment for evil deeds.
Ecclesiastes 10:19 "Bread is made for laughter, and wine makes life enjoyable; but money answers every need."
It seems like a basic comparison. Food and drink have specific uses and benefits, while money can provide for a broader range of needs. This does not contradict any Bible teachings about money, IMO. Money is good, and money is useful, and obsessing over money can be harmful-- these are not exclusive statements.

I get the same impression as FFGhost, that it's copy/pasted from somewhere. I'd rather see a short explanation with links to the larger text. Sea Breeze will usually give a concise answer with links to longer explanations with more detailed info, for example.

i once gave this book to a woman with kids at the door...to my shock my next visit she gave it back saying it was discusting and full of violence and sex!
this book was clearly written by some bethel loser with no kids.
i don't understand why witnesses don't have a separate kids school..
Does that book have images of Jesus nailed to a stake? If so, was that one of the images that the parent in question objected to?

You are correct, that any similarities are dwarfed by the differences- Linus created a massively successful business, which has probably fed his ego and led to overextending himself and creating the controversy that he is dealing with now.
Lloyd created a channel and skipped past the success part and straight to being a controversial character whose ethics and reliability are being questioned.

Linus and his wife still own LMG. The CEO position was handed to someone else, which means someone else is doing the boring-yet-vital task of running the mundane day-to-day stuff. Linus gets to make videos and rake in the money.

Here's a prediction: when all of the new and current predictions fail, someone will come along with a new set of predictions and insist that those are reliable because they're based on an accurate interpretation of a book that people haven't been able to reach a consensus on after two-thousand years of study and discussion (and lots and lots of bloodshed). All previous predictions were flawed and those people simply did not have the requisite "new" light to understand what was really written.
And I didn't have to interpret a book to come to this conclusion. I just had to look at the past two-thousand years of human behavior. Because the more things change...

absolutely no jd if there is a suspicion of suicidal thoughts.. this is obviously due to the high number of suicidal attempts after the announcement that someone is no longer a jw and the shunning that accompanied it.. so what will happen now going forward if situations arise where there would formerly have been a jd and they say there is suicidal thoughts?.
i can’t see it working, but elders stick rigidly to what it says in the book.

The strange thing is that he displays a message with "target: 500 minimum" even though he also shows a message with a current total of 597. Shouldn't he simply put a counter that reads "subscriber goal: 597/620"? That is what many streamers do. It avoids confusion and makes clear what he wants. I wonder if any potential subscribers feel comfortable not paying because he already surpassed his target by almost 100.
You can't help but get the impression that he's been carried along by others for all of his life. Left to his own devices, he struggles with the most basic things.

It looks like they will use it for circuit assemblies. There are a lot of JWs in the NYC/Tri-State area and any place that can be reached via mass transit can make things a bit easier for the WTS. If they plan to sell part of it, it will be interesting to see who they sell it to.
