I thought apostates were not able to get back in? Of course, it's a separate issue with him. I'm sure that the only people who didn't hate him were those who didn't get to know him. I wonder how long it would take him to alienate whoever was willing to talk to him, if he was reinstated. Maybe someone could arrange a get-together with Geoffrey!

I think that's a fair point. I hadn't ever thought of it that way, and I probably would have had trouble accepting it. It's amazing how our brains compartmentalize stuff.

The problem is that he made threats that he cannot legally follow through on. Not only due to jurisdiction, but because the only claims that could have had even a slight chance were the ones that he admitted were true.
And even that overstates the case. The entirety of Kim's "libelous" accusations are that Evans told her that he had been seeing prostitutes, and that he had traveled to Thailand for sex. Even assuming she had no digital evidence of these claims, she had at least one witness (Evans admits that Producer Bob was on the same call where he told them). Also, she could have pointed out that he confessed to more shocking behavior in his own book. How much reputational damage could her reddit post have caused, for a guy who had already told everyone that he was a creep and a pervert?

april 2023 is when he put out his "things are bad" tin cup begging video, and he got a small surge to 592 on the 13th of that month.
i'm also using his all-time peak of 897 from november 2022.. for march, we're gonna say a modest -15, putting him at 352. i'm also curious as to when he might hit 300 and then 200. if he keeps up with an average of -20 every month, he'll be at less than 190 before the end of this year.. happy guessing everyone..

The one thing that can guarantee that Evans will turn on you is if you do not agree with him all the time on all matters, no matter how minor or insignificant. If he cannot trust that you will support him unconditionally, he will begin to seek out reasons to question your character or motivations. If someone disagrees with him on something, he will seek opportunities to attack, using the disagreement as the excuse.
Regardless of how minor the issue is, he will go to war if you do not immediately back down. This is why it did not take long for his support to crumble after the livestream video. People rightly wanted to condemn his actions, but that meant becoming his enemy. Who is left that supports him anymore? And how long before they decide it's not worth it to navigate that minefield? And will they be added to the litigation?

I recall thinking about that a few times. I don't believe that they ever tried to explain it. I think the split between the heaven/earth expectations was Rutherford's idea. He doesn't strike me as the sort who cared if the math wasn't quite right.
