for several weeks i've been treating myself to a hot chocolate milk (well, soymilk) before bedtime.
some 16 oz soymilk which i heat on high in our microwave oven.
this is just enough time where the liquid begins to bubble along the top edge.. i then take it out of the microwave and place it on my kitchen gram scale, stir it good enough to redistribute the heat, then reset the scale to zero grams.. next, i squeeze in the hershey's sytup, "special dark mildly sweet chocolate" (fat free) into the warmed soymilk till the scale reads some 30 grams.
Water need not boil to evaporate.
This not a physics problem per se as much as it is one of measurement.

Enlightened discourse and debate frequently involves attacking what we believe to be flaws in the ARGUMENT, but it need not, and indeed should not, involve personal attacks on the PERSON.
The former is healthy and can lead to a better and deeper, more balanced understanding of the issues.
The latter always descends in to mindless tribalism.

Taking the moral high road is difficult and most definitely NOT something we were taught or encouraged to do when we were in the cult.

Like 3rdgen, I am techically "In Good Standing," not DFed, not DAed, no negative comments on social media. I am just "inactive" according to their very stupidly narrow and limiting terminology. (I am in fact very ACTIVE living life, just not according to WT dictates).
One thing IS clear: they don't care about me at all. So I think it's only fair that I return the favor.
