  Sunday's W.T angered me + I found an ironic scripture

  during the "do you love me more than these" watchtower study on sunday, i got so angry on many occasions, hearing people make comments like "if you enjoy your job, you're an enemy of jehovah" and "the only reason we're here is to preach.

  work and relaxation only exist to help us to preach".. the paragraph talking about the "do more!

  " attitude in the world getting people down really got me down just reading it, as it applies so much to the borg.. i also found the ecclesiastes scripture quoted to be ironic, as the rest of the article tells is that nothing is better or more of a priority than to preach;.

  SBF, I know of many KHs in the area where I live (western US) that have a "Second School/Library" behind glass like that. It is/was a common remodeling feature here 10-20 years ago.

  SBF, thanks for posting that video link.

  The WT leadership must LOVE making/using these videos because they are such valuable vehicles for indoctrination.

  Notice the video producers don't make an "official rule" about:

  Where DF'd ones should sit or how long they should expect the reinstatement process to take.

  The staging of the scenes and the narration all carry the desired messages in an implicit way allowing the WT leadership to simultaneously claim they don't make rigid rules.

  The passive observer takes it all in without even realizing they are being indoctrinated, manipulated and controlled.

  BONUS POINT: Did you notice the young woman in the video said she was "determined to qualify for reinstatement"?

  Watson: The generation question is the one uniquely problematic for the WTBTS.

  It is a self-inflicted wound.

  FYI: I have "hammered" away on this particular issue with more effort and effect than you'll ever know!

  Oh, I see that BB reposted the relevant bits.

  One problem with this religion is that they have an excessive number of rules, so many that even the elders that want to try to follow them (for messed up reasons) can't. Also, the WTBTS had the incredibly annoying habit of changing them in capricious, arbitrary and completely unpredictable ways.
  

  Add to that the human tendency to add even more rules and you have these inconsistent rules and practices.

  It is of course all bullshit just designed to control.

  Here are three relevant quotes from that 2013 QFR:

  1. It is not required that a disfellowshipped person sit at the back of the hall
     
  2. There is no reason to be unduly concerned about the seating location of a disfellowshipped person in the Kingdom Hall.
  3. Whether a disfellowshipped person sits next to a relative or next to any other member of the congregation should not be a cause for concern as long as he behaves properly. [Emphasis added]

  There there it is. The borg doesn't really care where a DF'd person sits in the KH as long as they sit down, shut up and behave yourself.

  i have noticed another popular pattern of behaviour amongst witnesses in recent years.. many, and i mean lots of ones with instagram accounts have closed the wife's account, and have started a "couple's" account instead.

  also, for families.

  the children's accounts have been closed, and the husband starts a "family account".. it is mainly on the husband's device, and seemingly under his control.

  when reasoning with people about the inspiration of the bible we used the bible writers candor ie/ there honesty when recording bible accounts about there personal mistakes .. how come the governing body despite its claims to be spirit directed are not honest about there mistakes ?.
