Of course he did. The Catholics may have been worse, but they don’t seem to be any more when it comes to the issue of child abuse.
Either way, it’s not much of a defense to say that others whom are much maligned are worse. That’s really setting the bar pretty low.

The vast majority of us on this forum are ex-JWs. Many of us -- but not all -- are now complete atheists.
Some few that leave Jehovah's Witnesses join other religions, but they seem to be a minority. After all, JWs are pretty good at pointing out the flaws in other religions. Once you realize that JWs are also a false religion, what's left?

I would react with a great deal of satisfaction for many reasons, but mostly because I know that any such arrest would in fact be for good cause. The leadership of the WTBTS are criminals.

Wake Me: NEVER ONCE did I EVER tell my therapist that I was a Jehovah's Witness. I was too concerned about protecting the cult! ... That therapist was unable to help me.
This is a real problem. Many cult members will not seek help from a qualified mental health professional due to the vilification of these professions by the cult. But sadly, even when cult members do seek appropriate help, they undermine their own care by failing to give the psychologist, psychiatrist, therapist or counselor all the information they would need to be able to make an accurate diagnosis of the underlying problems and recommend an appropriate course of action.
It's like going to an general practitioner medical doctor and simply saying, "I'm not feeling well," but refusing to say what's wrong or disclose any symptoms or possible causes.
I'm glad, Wake Me, that you final overcame the psychological hurdles you had to healing. Your progress and growth since leaving the cult is evident!

I Went To My Brother’s Memorial Service at the Kingdom Hall
by minimus ini have to say that the talk was very good.
instead of just repeating a jw manual , the speaker actually spoke about my brother!
there were a few scriptures with the jw hope but 80 % of the talk was actually about the life of my brother.

Minimus, I am sorry for your loss, but glad to hear that you seem to be making a good life for yourself after and outside of the cult.
Also, that you're not eaten up by anger and bitterness is a good sign as well.
