I'm well aware that many organizations make in-house and public promotional videos to draw attention to what they are doing. They do this for a variety of reasons: to create enthusiasm and boost morale, to create publicity and increase awareness both within and outside of the organization. Of course, at the root of it all is the bottom line: to increase revenue.
That being said, what the WTBTS is doing with these videos is not really different from what many other organizations do with one notable exception: the WTBTS creates a great number of videos drawing attention to the fact that they are doing things that are extraordinarily ordinary and mundane. Some of their projects are notable to be sure, but a great many of these videos are insipid beyond belief. The banality of celebrating the commonplace, everyday and routine activities that are featured in so many of these videos is surprising for its lack of any spark, interest or value at all.
They are clearly uninspired, and I mean this in every possible sense of the word.
