Warning!
by FedUpJW inno...not a warning from me, rather that is the subject of the "local needs" that i heard was presented via zoom tonight.. beware of apps!
they harped on the idea that only apps approved by the governing body should ever be downloaded or used by jdubs.
they said if they had not been featured in the litterature or specifically recommended by the governing body then jdubs should heed the warning and avoid them.. i guess they are, as we all suspected, very afraid of what the dubs will find out now that they have to use only electronic devices for their "food"..

by LongHairGal ini saw a post on reddit from somebody claiming to be an elder that the jw religion wants to contact all inactives.. some of the responses indicate that some were contacted or had close friends or relatives being asked for their contact information.
some of these people have been out of the jw religion for many years and have moved on.
the ones contacted said the jw informed them about cancelled meetings (as though they would care).

Has anyone here been contacted yet?
I haven’t, and I’ve lived in the same place for the last nine years and had the same phone number for over 20. (For context, I quit going to meetings and faded just over six years ago. So yeah, there’s that!)

Lett is such a buffoon. He was part of the reason I realized this is not “the True Religion.” There’s no way in hell any god would pick that idiot to represent him.
The WTBTS has been proclaiming we are in “the Last Day’s” since 1879.

Disfellowshipped: Elders should use good judgment in determining whether and how to make brief contact with disfellowshipped ones to inform them about adjusted meeting arrangements held at the Kingdom Hall. (sfl chap. 25 par. 20) If meetings are not being held at the Kingdom Hall, then the elders should use good judgment in considering whether to grant a disfellowshipped person access to recordings of meetings on JW Stream.

Last time an elder called on me for a "Shepherding Call" was five years ago.
I said, "Thanks, but I don't need a shepherding call. I'm fine. But, now that I'm reinstated, I could use your help in reconciling with some family members that became estranged while I was disfellowshiped!"
He said he'd have to get back to me.
As I said, that was five years ago. I'm still waiting.
