Magnum: We are the strong ones.

today's article prods active jws to participate in the effort to reactivate us backsliders.. unfortunately, it fails to prepare the participants to adequately address the real reasons so many have left and want nothing frtherethan to be left alone: the un and child abuse scandals, prophetic failures; dumbed-down, increasingly specious and simplistic verbiage in literature and talks, the cult of personality and unwarranted veneration of those 8 singularly unremarkable members of the gb, etc., etc..
Magnum: We are the strong ones.

i realize some here are diehard democrats.
whether you are democrat, republican or independent, do you support any of these looters that cause mayhem and destruction for their cause?
i have heard some people sympathize with these law breakers saying they understand why they do what they do and leave it at that.. of course i wonder how they would feel if their own property was burnt or stolen or destroyed..
- Minimus: āThey should have simply taken footage from many of the cities where the āpeaceful protestersā were burning cars and buildings. Geeshhhh.ā (Emphasis added. See this page of this threadājust look upšš¼3 posts above this one).
Also Minimus: āRioters are often wrongly identified as protesters.ā (See page 1 of this threadā3rd postšš¼from the top).
As I said before, but apparently it bears repeating: In the United States of America, peacefully protesting is a protected right which is enshrined into the US Constitution via the First Amendment.
Rioting and looting are crimes which should be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.
It's a logical fallacy to conflate the two.
This is not a Republican or Democrat thing; it's a Constitutional thing.
Protesters are law-abiding citizens. Rioters and looters are criminals.
They are not the same thing!
For anyone that would like to read more, here is a link to a Congressional Research Service White Paper regarding the crimes of rioting and property destruction:
State and local laws would also apply to rioting, property destruction and other crimes.

White supremacists don't hide their identities. They are not law abiding yet they continue to get a free pass.
in one of the study articles from the november 2020 edition, is mentioned (free quotation):.
"don"t get disturbed if your kingdom hall will be sold".
food on the right time, i asume?.
Fadeaway: A honest and open organisation will tell us when and where these halls are being built.
I can tell you exactly where these halls are being built: somewhere else!

the subject is searching for lost sheep.
how do the congregation view the inactive ones who no longer associate?
not with disdain, we are told but as lost sheep āstill our brothers ā it is said that god loves them and they too must do what they can to help them.. why have we strayed ?
āIām so glad I left that fucking cult and now I can live my life for myself!ā
i miss listening and dancing to live music on a weekend night.. i miss going into a crowded mall store to window shop.. i miss going out into public and not having to wear a mask.. i miss seeing people freely mingle on a busy street or sidewalk.. what a difference a year makes!.
For RubaDub,
This morning in the park training with a few of my toys!
i miss listening and dancing to live music on a weekend night.. i miss going into a crowded mall store to window shop.. i miss going out into public and not having to wear a mask.. i miss seeing people freely mingle on a busy street or sidewalk.. what a difference a year makes!.
RubaDub: I must be boring. I do golf and tennis.
Both activitiesāI must point outāthat involve moving around outdoors with oddly shaped sticks! š¤£
You train to hit balls for fun. I train to hit people for self-defense, and the mental and physical discipline which that requires.

Rub, I wasnāt posing. Itās a still from a video of a kata I was practicing. I sometimes film my kata so I can watching for self-evaluation, or I might send it to my sensei for feedback.
At first I did get some stares and looks of curiosity from others. But the regulars all now wave as do the police who are frequently in the neighborhood on patrol.
Several regulars having stopped by and asked about what Iām doing. Itās a better conversation starter than walking around with a briefcase full of Watchtowers and Awakes!
You might be surprised to learn that my neighbors do quite a few things in this park that you would also probably find odd. In addition to the more common things like playing soccer or softball, there is a yoga class here every Saturday morning. Iāve also seen people boxing, and there is a couple that often practices knife throwing.
When you canāt go to a gym or a dojo, you have to work with what youāve got.
By the way, I also train with swords and sais in the park as well. Occasionally the assistant sensei from my dojo comes and trains with me. To practice social distancing we usually use or bos or swords. So then youāll see two men sword fighting outdoors. Itās great physical and mental conditioning and also quite fun!
You might find it odd. Thatās fine. I quit living my life according to what others think I should or should not do when I left the JW cult.
I gave up martial arts and a whole lot of other things when I became a JW. Now that Iām free of that cult, Iām not gonna let a little thing like a global pandemic stop me from doing what I want.
