  This Week CLM Meeting

  so, this week on the clm there was an interesting comment at our kh.. under the "apply yourself to the field ministry" portion this week, there was the bible study assignment based on the publication: who are doing jehovah’s will today?

  published in 2016. the material was from lesson 28 "what can be found on our website?

  there is a footnote at the bottom that reads: .

  Yes. I could easily name hundreds, maybe more if I thought about it for a while.

  Here’s just one off the top of my head:

  • Light behaves as both a particle and a wave and yet it is actually neither. Why is that?

  No, it is not.
  

  Physics is a branch of science that deals with the structure of matter and the interactions between the fundamental constituents of the observable universe. It is based on empirical observations and measurable data with reproducible results.
  

  It is most definitely NOT a bullshit, pseudoscience that tries to come up with contradictory, exaggerated or unfalsifiable claims, mistaken and illogical support for the nonsensical belief that "everything happens for a reason."

  thanks to the australian royal commission our youngest son has woke up.

  we received a e-mail from him tonight where he apologized to us for shunning us all these years, how bad he felt for doing this.

  Oh, I’m sure the “upper management” of this cult knows this stuff goes on. I’m just saying it’s not a formal, well-planned or executed thing.

  I was an elder for over two decades and I can tell you on more than one occasion a CO encouraged the elders to engage in this sort of amateur-hour, “private-eye” nonsense. It’s more Keystone cops than anything.

  I personally never did it because — well it’s just wrong. But there were always at least a few elders eager to play at “cloak and dagger,” spy-vs-spy. It’s pretty immature actually.

  For example, the Orwellian and Puritanical WT mandate that “if two people of the opposite sex spend the whole night together they can be presumed to have fornicated” is all many elders needed as an excuse to pretend to be cops on a stakeout. Some of them just loved that shit. I guess it’s the only excitement in their otherwise dull and dreary lives.

  I doubt this is any kind of formal, organized thing. It’s just a bunch of wannabe-important, uneducated janitors and window washers that feel empowered by the cult’s insane rules that makes them believe that they have both the right and the duty to overstep appropriate boundaries and act in ways that violate the privacy of others.

  The worst part is that many of us allowed the elders to do this to us and to others when we were members.

  All I can say is this, if any elder tried following me or my family now they’d get a quick lesson in the laws of physics followed up with a restraining order.

  Let’s review: It’s a cult!

  I just took a look at your introductory post again. Do you remember writing this about a year ago?

  

  Look how much you've changed in a relatively short period of time! I am very proud of you. You show what can be done in reclaiming our lives once we leave the cult. No one can continue to make us feel weak or bad about ourself without our permission. And we're not going to give it to them ever again. Never again.
  

  You're no longer a "feeble nobody," a "toddler with a water pistol," you're a bad-ass women that can take care of herself. A real force of nature.
  

  I said it then, but it bears repeating: It takes courage to live an authentic life. But it is worth it. Once you've awaken, there's no going back.
