More victim blaming by the WTBTS.
Let’s review: It’s a cult!
when i was still going to meetings, a wt study article said this:.
https://wol.jw.org/en/wol/d/r1/lp-e/2002163?q=bleat&p=sen.
13 in scotland some young lambs were grazing in a pasture when one of them strayed to the side of a hillock and tumbled onto a ledge below.
More victim blaming by the WTBTS.
Let’s review: It’s a cult!
i think every congregation has their group that sees everything as a sign that they are god’s chosen people.
if a witness didn’t go to a meeting and a storm came and destroyed their house and killed them, and only the kingdom hall was saved, that was a sign that we should be in jehovah’s house.
if russia persecuted jws , it’s proof we are living in the last days.
The short answer is: Yes
By definition, all cult members are gullible. They are gullible for believing the myths and lies which persuade them to join in the first place. That should be obvious.
Even Born-ins probe themselves to be gullible if they continue to believe after more than a few years of adult life and experience.
Of course the psychology behind joining and/or remaining in a cult is much more complex than my simplistic response might seem to suggest.
But the question in the OP was not that subtle: it was direct and straightforward and so is my answer.
had to laugh at this.
this may be what the wbts end up doing in the future as they become televangelist.

What it the “this” to which you refer?
the following story appeared in the new york times today:.
surviving the death of my son after the death of my faith.
.
Amber Scorah’s essay on loss and grief is powerful and moving. Here are two quotes that I particularly appreciated:
have you ever done xjw activism?.
do you find it rewarding?.
do you feel it has an effect?.
I’ve done a great deal of work to help myself and others heal and rebuild their lives after leaving the cult. This has been through personal relationships as well as by participating in workshops for ex-cult members, which I have done as both a participant and a presenter. All of this has been immensely rewarding and productive.
But if by “activism” you mean trying to change or reform the religion, forget that. It’s a complete waste of time and effort.
Martin Luther nailed his 95 Theses on the door of Wittenberg Castle 502 years ago on 31 October 1517. Sure, it started the Protestant Reformation, but it didn’t end the Catholic Church. To my way of thinking that just made things worse.
Trying to reform the WTBTS is a complete waste of effort.
for me it’s freedom!
you are not bound by an organization’s man made rules and whims.
you don’t have to account to mere men for approval.
The only thing—and I mean THE ONLY THING—that isn’t drastically better since leaving the cult is the lack of a relationship with my two adult, still-in children.
Like their mother, my ex-wife, they chose the religion over me and us.
Let’s review: It’s a cult!
this weeks meeting features a video about maintaining kingdom halls.
it mentions a few times, how kh belong to jehovah, and are dedicated to him.. anybody ever wondered, if they belong to jehovah, how come, they are being sold all the time?
can you give something to jehovah and then take it back?
What rokemsockem said ☝🏼
Maybe next he’ll run for POTUS!
Dead link. That didn't last long!
so i've just seen a snippet of a new convention release, and it's obviously a reenactment (bloody poor one - look at the state of the disposable beards lol!
) of bible times.. the chap speaking is heard saying if your family members turn away and serve false gods, you should kill them!.

More sick and twisted propaganda from the Old Testament (aka “The Hebrew Scriptures”). It’s a good thing that the majority of mainstream Abrahamic religions ignore these evil, tribalistic ideas. Those that don’t are dangerous groups and should be treated as such.
i have just heard from a visitor to the jehovah's witnesses convention for 2019, that they have been told; 'not to form an emotional attachment to their pets, as animals don't have feelings anyway'.. well, that should break a few children hearts!👨👩👧👦 🥴 😭 💔.
my orignal topics are at.
further info:.
The Governing Body members don’t want anyone to have a pet because pets will love you regardless of whether or not you believe the nonsense spouted in WT publications, and that makes the GB fools jealous.
