Of course the behaviors that are labelled as "Socially Acceptable" acts of Covert White Supremacy are only socially acceptable among "covert" (aka: cowardly) white supremacists.

The rest of us recognize them for what they are: racist behaviors.

hi, i'm looking for the article published in the 90s i think (i was a teenager) and it showed a diagram of the organizational hierarchy, at the top was jesus, then governing body all the way down to publishers it was in a pyramid style org chart.... can someone point me in the right direction?

additionally, does anyone remember the article or any articles that stated how bad it was that other religions had hierarchy like that?

i remember this being discussed at like a watchtower study or maybe it was a bookstudy.... i am on the hunt for another topic to discuss with my jw parents.

Your response really just proves my point and exemplifies the problem I have with certain of your threads: the ones where you open with a question seemingly inviting discussion but then immediately post your own highly biased opinion, which has a chilling effect on anyone posting a dissenting or differing point of view.

You clearly aren't interested in having a free, open and productive discussion which may include disagreement, rhetorical argumentation and debate. If you were, you would not frame your OPs the way you do.

This is why I have posted as I have on this thread. I think this is a very important topic that needs to be discussed. It's clearly a very complex subject and emotions can run high. All of this emphasizes the need for people to engage in the conversation in a respectful and measured way, freely expressing their points of view while also at least considering the views of others, even when—and perhaps particularly when—they disagree.

If you really and truly "don’t give two shits" about whether I read your threads or not (which I doubt), then you might want to consider simply not responding to any of my posts.

Just click on the IGNORE button.

If, on the other hand, you feel the need to continue a dialogue on this particular point, I'd suggest you PM me rather than derail your own thread with our perceived personal differences.

Interesting point. Clearly, that "hatred" that you saw everywhere only existed in your own mind because of the beliefs that you (and most of us here on this forum) had.

There is an old saying: "We see the world, not as it is, but as we are."

Nah, I don’t eat cornflakes, don't like 'em.

But I am a proponent of full and open discourse and constructive dialogue.

I appreciate that this isn’t always easy to do, particularly concerning uncomfortable topics or subjects which evoke powerful emotions and challenge long-held beliefs—which is why it’s all the more important we frame any such discussions in ways that create an environment which at least tries to make people feel able to express themselves freely and openly without censure or ridicule.

That is clearly not the case here in this thread or in a surprising number of similar threads started by Minimus; hence my initial response to the OP.

Ask a seemingly legitimate question: Black Lives Matter—Do You Agree With Their Philosophy?
Immediately answer your own question with your own highly biased opinion in the OP before anyone else can comment: "I think BLM is a racist group."
Follow-up with a completely tone-deaf comment lacking any subtlety or nuance thereby demonstrating that you really don't understand the admittedly complex issues involved: "If white people pushed an agenda saying White Lives Matter, some people would have a conniption."

Rinse, lather, repeat. Completely predictable.

recently, several comments have been made in various threads in reference to some of the recent changes to a few of the rules by which jehovah's witnesses must live their lives in unquestioning compliance.

the assertion has been made that these rules are a "relaxing" of previous restrictions.

the suggestion has been made that this somehow indicates a corresponding relaxing or loosening or lessening of the authority which the governing body (gb) holds over the rank and file (r&f) members of the religion.
