i am new to the forum, but i am suprised to see people that claim to be anointed.

it really frustrates me.

why would god visit you and bless you in a religion you now recognise as false.

Myself I always felt there were a lot that were just caught up in the whole "spirit" thing...kind of like a pentecostal..you see one guy speak in tongues and everyone claims to be doing it...

I had a girlfriend that just was so into the religion that she almost talked herself into believing she was of the annointed..then she went home and beat her kids with a electrical cord..

She is still a JW..I wonder if she has decided she is of the annointed yet?

Makes you wonder about the other ones..wishful thinking?

Did you ever shun someone close? How did you feel?

how does a jw feel when he "has" to shun someone he likes/loves?.

during the time i was in, i shunned people.

but as i didn't like them, it was no problem.. but now, i'm trying to understand how my family might really feel.. (i presume here, of course, that they do "like/love me".).

We only had one lady that was ever disfellowshipped when I was going out of 15 years...but even tho I had never met her as they had recently moved into the district..I was told we weren't supposed to talk to her. She had been disfellowshipped for smoking..

I always felt that it was not right ..it didn't feel natural. My instincts knew better than they did..

I smiled at her as I walked out of the hall..she was later reinstated after she quit..

She is probably grateful now as she doesn't have to worry as much about getting lung cancer..

My JW Friend's Birthday Is Coming Up. Should I Say Happy Anniversary?

meaning the anniversary of the day she came into the world.

would a jw typically be offended by that?

she's a convert and a true believer.

I would tell her that "I hope you do something special for yourself today"..and smile..then if she asks why you can say, "isn't today the anniversary of the day you were born?".

Admit it or not, we all like to be acknowledged as special once in a while..even tho they may act differently I think she will take it to heart..

Glad you are having more tests..sounds like you are in capable hands..

Be sure you also do your own research..it tells you a lot more than the Drs sometimes..also get copies of your tests and you can look up your own results on line..

What I like about my Dr is she in in a network where they post your chart on line..I can look up the results of my tests before they even get around to calling me. I can also request refills and make appointments there..it's amazing!

Glad you are OK.Now just find out how to keep you that way..

animals are truly a gift from jehovah as the creator of all things.

Speaking of dog owning..I can love them as pets but still see them as animials..2 things are going on right now because of dog ownership..

One is my Granddaughter who is grown, married with two small childrena and her 2 boxers she has. She treats them like humans, they refuse to be potty trained despite being over one year old..she has to take them everywhere with her. She wouldn't go anywhere she couldnl't take them. (she feels sorry for them and also they will destroy her house)Finally her dad gave her some fence used to make a pen in the basement so she could go our for a short time in an emergency. She takes them to my daughters so she can babysit the kids..my daughter also has to babysit the dogs..otherwise my daughter can't see her grandkids. In the meantime the dogs poop and pee all over my daughters house. She puts up with it because she doesn't want to anger her daughter..BTW, her dad just gave her another dog because he can't have it where he lives now. So she has 3 large dogs.

Second, my son has a doberman and another large dog..they both bite. They do not mind the wife. They get along with the 11 year old girl but when she has friends over they try to attack them. They did bite one girl and they also bit a service man in the knee and drew blood when he came to make some repairs..He can't get any sleep because they wake him up in th emiddle of th enight and wan tout..he has to take them out on a leash or they will run away. He was working 12 hour days and was getting very little sleep.I refuse to go visit my son because I am afraid of the dogs.. as do many other people..and yet when I suggest he get rid of the dogs he says they are his babies..

I know this doesn't answer yuor question but it did pop this question into my head..I'll get back to answering your question later..

I really do love animals but I do also see them as just an animal..I will spoil them and treat them with love but still on the other hand know where to draw the line..
