  he seems to me to be the angriest and most ill-tempered of all the wt presidents, especially after his stint in prison and failed prophecies.. “regarding his misguided statements as to what we could expect in 1925, he [rutherford] once confessed to us at bethel, “i made an ass of myself.”” watchtower 1984 oct 1 p.24.

  rutherford died at beth sarim on january 8, 1942, at the age of 72.

  There was an "anointed " sister in my Kingdumb hell that would cry to the elders when she saw something she didn't like. I came to the meeting with a short haircut and I guess she didn't like that(the only one that bitched about it) She cried to the elders and my parents. What a pain in the azz!

  i was just watching dinesh d'souza talking about a chinese newspaper, and he was saying that the chinese communists like to have a form of communication that isn't 'officially' from the government but can transmit what they want people to hear.

  instantly reminded me of the gb, how they have agendas and outlines for circuit overseers, schools, even supposedly spontaneous experiences at conventions that are used to push certain ideas.

  they do the effective job at the time, but most jws wouldn't be able to track it down in print later.

  Watchtower and China seem to communicate to their people the same. Same as their concepts of rule over people.

  i looks like the last issue of the "watchtower—study edition (simplified)" (at least in english) was the december 2018 issue - see https://www.jw.org/en/library/magazines/?contentlanguagefilter=en&pubfilter=ws&yearfilter= .

  and one of my jw relatives said they were told by some elders that meetings and field service will resume before the end of the year.. they said this covid virus was a test, like when the romans breached jerusalem and retreated, only to come back later and sack jerusalem.

  Time Indefinite

  from a very young age, i was always annoyed by this translation time indefinite simply means: time that has not been defined.

  where the new world translation uses "time indefinite", other translations use "everlasting" and "eternal".

  honestly, it makes much more sense to me "everlasting" and "eternal" as "time indefinite" would leave room for god to define that time later on.

  Sounds like Bullshit to me! But as usual anything Watchtower puts out makes you roll your eyes and yell "bullshit " while others clap like well trained seals with out even using their brains.
